hiya!

today's workout was cardio coach volume 5 done on the elliptical.

wheew! it was a doozy... lots of hills and not much rest between

them. i thought that i did really great with the workout though,

and now i feel fabulous!! ahhhh, endorphins :)

afterward sean had me stretch out the legs and back. he has us hold

all of the stretches for 30 seconds. he always likes to put a joke

at the end... after the stretching was done for this workout he

wanted me to hold a plank for six minutes!! i knew of his fondness

for teasing, but he said it with such a serious voice, that i really

wasnt sure...LOL! i started to get down into position for the plank

hold and he said that he was just kidding. what a guy. i should

have still held a plank for a while... next time i do this volume i

will do that.

LOL, he got me too with that one! How appropriate you did this one on

April Fool's, though!

I adore CardioCoach, though I didn't much care for the Candace version

of 6. Did you do Push Play day?

i havent done any of the volume six's yet.... i hope that i like

candace ok... i sure do luv sean!

sadly i did not do push play day... i couldnt justify the purchase

of yet another CC workout at the time and i couldnt download such a

large file with my stupid dial-up connection. i would have had to

request a cd and it wouldnt have arrived here in time. oh well! i

do plan on buying the push play workout in the future though!

Heh! I take no responsibility for this...

Candace is... eh... for me. If you'd like to " try before you buy, "

I'd be happy to loan my disc and/or trade it to you if you like it.

Some people really like her, but to me she just sounded way too much

like she was reading a script by a stopwatch.

Now, I *know* has to be doing the same thing, but somehow he

always comes across as if he's spontaneously urging me along, right at

my shoulder. I didn't feel that with Candace. Could be just the

preference I have for male coaches, though, who knows. The production

values are up there to usual standards.

Aww, too bad, but I completely understand! If it hadn't been for

Jim's charity, I wouldn't have ordered another disc just then either.

And you're wiser than I. I actually attempted to download the thing

over my half-speed dialup. Of course, it failed. Karal in customer

service is a gem, though! She managed to up my credit card charge to

cover the disc, and didn't charge me a penny for rush shipping, so it

got here in the nick of time. I've had such good experiences ordering

from them.

Push Play's such an inspiring workout, you've got to hear Jim's story.

Just have a kleenex by your elliptical! I'll be happy to loan it to

you, too. That way, you'll know if you want this one or if you'd

rather wait for Disc 7. Be warned, PP's a toughie... there's the

hardest parts of previous workouts stitched together, ending with an

entirely new challenge from the upcoming Disc 7. Just let me know,

and we'll exchange details off list.

I'm a complete CC convert. I can't bear to get on the treadmill or

hardly even head out the door to exercise now, without my mp3 player

on my arm and in my ear. ;-)

I agree. I'm hoping this was a one-shot experiment, and not the start

of a trend. Oh well, if it is, at least I have enough to rotate and

not get bored! I agree, it's just not CC if it's not !

Heh, yeah, I do too. Although usually by the countdown, I'm so maxed

out I'm too breathless to count outloud-- and working too hard on

keeping myself from slowing down till he hits 1. ;-)

There's really nothing about any of the workouts that I *don't*

like, come to think of it...

> she certainly is!! CC customer service is awesome.

I don't know why other companies don't follow the same model. If you

tick a customer off , yeah, you've already gotten their money that one

time-- but you lose any future sales *and* most people warn off at

least a handful of others. And, if they're on the net, maybe

thousands of others. <G> It's bad business to have lousy service.

Wish Beachbody would get that message. A shame, too, because their

*products* are great.

> ooooooo boy! sounds wicked good!

Yep, I did! I did it on a treadmill. Haven't tried it outside yet,

but now that our driveway isn't a sea of clay mud any longer, I may

give it another go.

I agree! A player makes chores like pruning and planting more

enjoyable too. Something to engage the brain when the task is pretty

mindnumbing. Hmm, maybe I should wear it when I do laundry, too! ;-)

Ellipticals fascinate me, but I've never gotten an opportunity to

really try one. Sounds as though it's easier on your joints? Do you

mind my asking what brand you have? We've got a stationary bike, but

nobody uses it much. I'm considering getting rid of it for something

we'd use more. My son has joint issues, so an elliptical may be the

thing to try next.

Thanks!

Tess
