Guest guest
Hi, This morning I tried one of my Baron Baptiste workouts I got last week called Power Yoga The Next Level 2. This is a really tough workout, right up there with Kest. This workout was part of the series of workouts he put out a long time ago called "Hot Yoga" I remember being introduced to Baron with Hot Yoga beginner level, and that's when I noticed he likes to say the word "people" A LOT. His newer stuff isn't as bad (maybe someone told him) Anyway, this one IS bad. I lost count of how many times he says this word. To some, it wouldn't bother, but it just eats at me. He walks around the ENTIRE class saying this constantly and then claps his hands while instructing to go to the next move. ugh. There are quite a few things I don't like about this workout. He will do a vinyasa and then stretch out the legs. Just when you think you're done, he does yet another vinyasa. I previewed this workout (not realizing a lot of this stuff) I knew from the get go that I was going to skip the balancing section. It was VERY advanced and a couple of those girls looked like silly puddy almost lol I have never really liked balancing postures, though I know I need them, some of them are just too extreme for me. I particular don't like the head to knee pose. Anyway, even skipping the balance postures, the workout was 50 minutes, I felt like I did some major yoga when I was finished. Even this being said, I really didn't enjoy it all that much. Kests yoga routines are tough, but they are also enjoyable, I feel like I accomplished something at the end. With this, it was just a lot of different things back and forth with no set routine really. Ok, I've rambled enough about this workout. I might keep it for days when I just want to do a little bit of flowing yoga as a warm up for something else, because believe me, there is a lot of up dog down dog in this one. I have a few other Baron B workouts and I love them, but they are his newer stuff and they are much better. I hope you all have good days today Check out free AOL.
