Guest guest
Hi everyone, Just wanted to post my 1/2 way point results: Lost 10 lbs, 13.75 inches (3 on my waist!) and 3% bodyfat! (I might have lost a higher % bodyfat as I measured with calipers on week 3). I have eaten clean all six non-free days, drank all my water and haven't missed a workout since starting the challenge. My free days have been enjoyable but not overboard. Questions: 1. I have not gone down in clothing size yet. Still wearing my size 8 jeans. My goal size is 4 because I'm very petite. Is this normal, not to drop a size yet? 2. I calculated my lean mass to fat mass. I've lost 7.5 lbs of fat, but I also lost 2.5 lbs of lean mass. Should I be concerned that I lost some lean mass? 3. What can I do to make the second half of my challenge go into turbo mode? I'm ready to buy new jeans! :-) Thanks for all the inspiration posted here daily! Guest guest
1. Yes, it's normal not to have lost a clothing size yet. Like you said, you're very petite, and the closer you are to a " normal " weight, the more gradual (and impressive) the changes. 2. No, don't worry. Lean mass includes water. You were bloated before and now you're not. 3. Judging from the numbers, you're already in turbo mode. If it's working, don't jack with it. :-) On 2/12/06, perditagal <bookmommy@...> wrote: > Hi everyone, > > Just wanted to post my 1/2 way point results: > > Lost 10 lbs, 13.75 inches (3 on my waist!) and 3% bodyfat! > > (I might have lost a higher % bodyfat as I measured with calipers on > week 3). > > I have eaten clean all six non-free days, drank all my water and > haven't missed a workout since starting the challenge. Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragement, ! I didn't realize lean mass includes water, but that makes sense. I am still bloated--it's TOM. *sigh* I don't consider myself close to normal weight for my height...my current bodyfat is 30%, so I still have a way to go. Here's looking to the next 6 weeks! Thanks again! > > 1. Yes, it's normal not to have lost a clothing size yet.
