Some people, for whatever reason, are like energizer bunnies, and can just keep on going, going, going. Some of this ability may be due to physicial conditioning from a very young age, but it's not necessarily the case. Other folks just can't keep at it like that without suffering an injury or malaise. Listen carefully to what your body is telling you. If you need a rest, by all means take one. But if you can recover properly from whatever it is you are doing, then why rest when you feel like participating in some activity? Another thing to consider is that resistance training and mountain climbing are quite different. Even though you are using your muscles, you're using them in a different way.
