Guest guest
Tried to get a workout in this morning but had too much going on so I finally forced myself downstairs at 7:15 tonight. I was not in the mood at all so I promised myself I'd just do 30 minutes. Today was toning (two days now I'm keeping with my theme rotation, this is good for me). I also told myself I wouldn't punish myself with I Want That Body workouts (which are awesome, I just wasn't up for them tonight) so I pulled out 10 Minute Solutions: Target Toning for Beginners. This and Whitmarsh grow on me each time I do them. Again, the dialog with myself was "Okay, I'll just do the arms, thighs and power stretch and then be done, okay? Okay." Programmed it for those (I'm loving DVDs) and did the first two then realized I had more energy than I thought I did and said, "Let's do the other two workouts too? Okay? OKAY!!" Then I used the "skip" button on my remote that I learned about here (did I mention I'm really loving DVDs?) and went right to buns. Abs was after. I've been avoiding both of these, which means I probably really need to do them, but ended up really enjoying both of them. Did the powerstretch and the end and felt absolutely great! Go me!! :-) Tomorrow is yoga/flexibility and I'm going to talk with DH about buying a 10 class pass (good for 3 months) at the yoga center. I checked the class schedule and my calendar and am sure I'll use all 10 classes in less than 3 months. It is $125, which is $25 less than paying for each class individually. In the abs section has you doing this exercise where you lay on your back and put your knees in line with your chest, then lift up your rear end. Mine barely moves without putting my back into it which is kind of against the point of working your abs. I can't even get my hips in line with my chest in the first place because they are sooooo tight. I need yoga so hopefully my yoga class will be tomorrow's workout (my basement is MUCH too cold for yoga right now, I tried and hated it). Will post it after I do it.
