yep the dvd is titled tai chi balanced workout. i think you will find it refreshing. its not "cardio" per say but its really great. $5 is not a bad deal for vhs since her site is still probably selling that one for $15 LOL. i like the idea of rewarding yourself with the workouts. i wish i had the kind of self control LOL. enjoy!! kassiaFestival City Concrete <pvisser@...> wrote: Note Same as DVD title ?Tai Chi Balanced Workout?

I have this one and haven't done it very much! I need

to pull it out again b/c I forgot what it was like. I

don't remember disliking it though so that is good!

And, you can't go wrong with the CIA workouts - there

is usually some part of it htat you will find

useful/enjoy!

Yes, it is the same as Balanced Workout. I like it.

Not a hard workout but it has its place for a lighter

day when you want a little mind/body - the interaction

between Janis and is really nice, too.

Good one! I can't remember if it is cued via voice

over or not, though.....

I don't have either of these Christi's but I'd love to

hear what you think of them. I like her as an

instructor, I just tend to not go for her stuff b/c of

the complexity and space requirements. My new workout

space is smaller than my old one - it is a bummer!

I liked this one, but I can't remember if I still ahve

it or not - I may have traded it since I got the

Kickbutt version with another instructor. I should

really do my Kickbutt/FitPrimes again soon.

Enjoy your new workouts!! Even though I haven't

exactly been depriving myself of new things lately, I

really want to get some new workouts!

Take care,

Donna

re: gay gasper cardio crazy

heehee! thanks for your comments donna! yes, it is good that you

recall not hating the workout...LOL

oh, it was cksales that had written that as part of the

description... i am aware of the alternate title. im not too keen

on buying vhs tapes anymore, but at $5 for a brand new tape, i cant

complain too much. some day i will copy it to dvd anyway.

>I like it.

yes, that will be my plan for it.... to pull out when i want

something light and easy, yet enjoyable. i like janis so much that

i want all of her workouts (well, except for south beach slam that

is). and scott will be a nice bonus :)

> Good one! I can't remember if it is cued via voice

re: beverly hills pilates

yeah, you recall my dislike of voice-overs! i was surprised that

janis's beverly hills yoga was not a voice-over, so im hoping that

this one is cued live as well. and if it isnt, then i will just

have to live with it.

> I don't have either of these Christi's but I'd love to

im hoping that i will be able to follow these cardio workouts ok.

i like christi and how she cues and layers her workouts. it takes

me a bit of practice to get used to her cueing though, as it is

always early... sometimes that confuses me a bit. these 2

particular workouts (the 'totally hot' ones, have the backgrounders

stick to the first layer of choreo while christie does all of the

fancy steps, so i can just follow the backgrounders in order to keep

up. also these have a little tutorial (christie calls it a 'move

master') which does help. so that is why i picked these over some

of her other titles.

> My new workout

> space is smaller than my old one - it is a bummer!

my kids are saying that they want separate bedrooms now, threatening

to kick me out of my workout room :( i keep telling them that they

need to stay in one bedroom together!! it is a large room and

there is definitely room for both of them in there.... if i have to

try to workout somewhere else, it is not going to go over well with

me at all.

> I liked this one, but I can't remember if I still ahve

re:floor burn

im glad to hear that you like this one donna! im drawn to lower

body workouts because that area needs the most work! of course the

lower body stuff is hard for me and i tend to dread those workouts,

but i really need to suck it up and get this lower body into some

sort of shape.

> Enjoy your new workouts!! Even though I haven't

even though it isnt true, im getting the impression that im running

out of virgins! LOLOL! i still have tons of stuff to do, but feel

like i deserve a new dvd or two :) dh still has a spending

moratorium in effect, but im ignoring it a bit...shhh! of course as

soon as i order, we get a $500 heating oil bill ::sigh::

thanks for your input kathy! i wonder if i should get the ankle

weights out on the first time through. i guess that i could load

them up fairly lightly just to see... maybe 1.5 or 2 lbs (?). its

hard to know until i actually do the workout. do you remember what

size you used? i will know to go lighter than you did :)
