What a heavenly morning. I woke up at 4:00 and was out of my bed at 4:06. I haven't done yoga or a strength workout in awhile, and oh did I need this. I have reviewed the intermediate practice of this dvd already. You have the option of a beginner practice, an intermediate practice, or watching both at the same time. You can turn off the ugayii breath (which I did) and have the music on or off, and Eoin's cueing on or off (but why wouldn't you want to listen to that voice? I'd enjoy a cd of listening to him read the newspaper!) From what I remember, the beginning and intermediate practices don't greatly differ, you just go deeper into the poses with the intermediate practice and more advanced options are shown. The biggest noticeable difference, if you are a heterosexual female in her prime such as me, is that Eoin wears his shirt in the beginner practice, but you get to see his lovely male

torso in the intermediate practice.I really needed the beginner practice this morning, however. You start with just a few sun salutations, which I appreciated; sometimes these get overdone and I crave more variety. After moving through warrior 1 and 2, side angle, triangle and reverse triangle (I did pyramid instead this morning), intense lunges, pigeon, staff pose you move to bridge, happy baby (love this one) and savasana. I feel so good and am burning incense and listening to one of the Brain Fitness' Engergizing cd's to further the good energy. I took a hot lavender bath with corresponding scented massage oil and am ready to start the day. This is a good dvd, but really the only Eoin Finn dvd you need if you're tight on cash is the Power Yoga for Happiness Volume 2 (has 2 dvd's) as it contains all the poses of the first Power Yoga dvd and also this one I did today. The scene is outside on a beach

in a faraway place and he's doing the practice at a resort, so it has a slightly vaction-y feel to it. I liked the natural settings of the other 2 dvd's he has better. The others have a more carefree, natural and amateur feel to them which I prefer. Eoin's cueing is great even if he doesn't mirror (ug!) but his voice lacks...conviction that he is happy. In the others his spirit seemed light, and well, to quote Eoin, blissful. I hope to get up tomorrow morning and perhaps do the intermediate practice. My spirit really needs mind/body work right now, so this was perfect for me to do today. I hope everyone has a day full of bliss!Samasithi,
