Five and Other Reps in Powerlifting?

Yep, I'm using a pretty standard periodization routine, almost a true

Coan progression (minus a few hundred pounds). The 5's aren't really

close to my max single. The first few reps are very easy. I would

consider myself to be pretty explosive and the reps are fast, a

result of my past Westside approach. It's just that at about rep 4

the wall hits.

I guess the true question is----do sets of 5 carry over to a

powerlifting one rep max on the platform?
