I'm trying to learn how to formulate a lotion. Via internet, I have found the

average percentages for a lotion. But where do I go from there? This may be a

dumb question, but I don't feel that I'm doing this correctly. If I want to

make 16 oz. of a lotion, and lets's say the water should be 60%, does that mean

I should be using 9.6 oz. of water for this recipe??? And when you do figure

out a recipe, you should come up with 100% or 16 oz for your total, correct?

I'm probably making this harder than it really is but it is 12:20 a.m. Am I

correct in my thinking???? And is there any place to go to to learn more about

formulating????? Thank you all for your help. I've only been doing this for

a short period of time and have alot to learn!!!
