Since you live in Germany, see if you can get any of the old Kraiburg rubber

bumpers. They've been

out of production for around 6 months, but you may still find them in stock in

sports shops in Germany.

They may well cost you less than the Jesup ones, since they were made in Germany

and will therefore

have involved lower shipping charges.

I will probably purchase the Jesup Gym plates since I don't need " real " Olympic

plates.

In Germany cheap rubber Olympic plates cost about 10,- DM (ca. $4) per kilo

so as you can see they are at the high end of the price range.

If my coach ever needs plates I will definitely point him in to Andy Hofmeyr

since he only uses proper Olympic plates.
