Guest guest
. I had an aromatherapy booth at a health fair last fall. I think the salts are a great idea, although it may be a bit overwhelming so maybe you could have someone there to assist you. I also did some (alot) of free hand and arm massages. People loved it. I also had a draw for a free massage so people filled out forms so I got addresses and email addresses so that worked out well. I had a display of the ess. oils as well as brochures and business cards. I also had a candle burning but at the back of the table so no little hands could touch. It may also be good to have a chart which lists what oils are good for what condition. I found people thought this was interesting. Hope this helps. S. Guest guest
Hi, ! Congratulations on the opportunity to spread the word about AT. Do you know what age group the fair will be geared to? That's important when it comes to dealing with attendees and their preconceived notions about AT. I find seniors are more closed minded than younger people, but, then, that is my observation. I suggest using a diffuser with an EO that will clear the air and attract attention because of its scent, if that is okay with the fair organnizers. Can you hand out a product brochure/catalog with your business card? And include diffusers in your sales brochure so people can order the same diffuser you are demonstrating. How about a special discount card that expires in 2 weeks (or whatever timeframe you choose) towards either a specific item or any order placed. Maybe make a label to apply to the back of your business card. You may consider offering a workshop at a later time/date that attendees can register to attend. And don't forget a " Free Drawing " for a small basket of products or maybe a diffuser or whatever you think would generate interest. This will generate a mailing list for you. You may want to put the EO's into the bath salts yourself because you are the one who will know how much to use (you don't want a heavy handed customer pouring away your $). Or make the salts in advance in only a few distinct scents and they can choose. Also, choose to wear colors and an outfit that will attract people to your booth. And also have some AT books available for attendees to see (and maybe include in your product info), so they know you are representing a legitimate science. Remember, you have less than 8 seconds to catch the attention of a passer-by. Have an eye-appealing table/display and don't let anyone walk past you without handing them something that they can look at later if they don't stop immediately. Boy, did you exercise my brain with this one! I've been in many types of fairs/events and you really got me to reminisce. Good luck, Madeline -- Aromatherapy Booth Ideas?? Guest guest
, At a health fair I would like to receive a handout telling me what eo's are, what they have been used for historically, how they are made and which ones are best for what. I would much rather have something like that, than I would the little bath salts. And that will be pretty expensive for you. You could type up, fancy up the paper on your printer or something, some or all of the above, with the top of it your business card, or that type of info. Then, lol, being me, I would add a magnet to the back of it. I think s' carries strips of magnets you cut it off and take off the back tape and stick it on. This way they can stick it on their fridge and always have your name AND all your wonderful info in front of them.
