Avery makes a weather proof label, as well... and a laser printer is a LOT better than an inkjet as far as the ink running... Guest guest
i played with a sample from the newest Epson that was mentioned previously. i poured water over it and the ink didn't smear at all. this might be a SUPER reasonable way to go as the printer is less than $100. also try artist spray fixatives. (haven't tried this yet, but it seems like it would work) tricia
Guest guest
Wow ... my Epson C82 was priced near $129 on sale, and I had a coupon for an additional $20 off. You found it at a GREAT price if you found it for less than $100!! I can't remember who shared it, but someone shared recently that they use the same printer and that their labels didn't smear even when they got caught in the rain. The ink is advertised as being " water resistant, " not water-proof, and they will smear and smudge when exposed to a lot of water. I cover my bath scrub labels with clear plastic labels for added protection. Where on earth did you find the printer for so cheap? Sounds like a great buy! pamela
Guest guest
From my experience with Decoupage, I know and we are warned in books that inkjet printers will smear if you decoupage a picture from any bubble jet or inkjet printer, the moment you modge-podge it. Laser printers do not. So what we do is print our designs on the inkjets and then take them to the local copier shop and have a copy made of it. Then use it. double cost.
