Guest guest Posted January 5, 2006 Report Share Posted January 5, 2006 I already own 3, 5, 8, 10 lb. dumbbells plus 1 lb. wrist weights. I can tell I'll need heavier weights soon, probably next week. I told my husband I would like to get an adjustable dumbbell bar and separate plates. He said I should get instead a 15 lb. and 20 lb. pair and that's it. I asked why and he said that he didn't think I would go higher than 20 lb. I think eventually I'll be able to go much higher. How much do you veterans lift? What weights do you suggest I buy?
