Since you're struggling to see results, I would save the bars for

emergencies. Whole food meals are better, even a protein shake would

be better. Always have a bar in your purse and some in the cupboard in

case you need something in a hurry, but choose whole foods whenever

you can. Some easy bar replacers:

cottage cheese / berries

hard boiled eggs / orange

string cheese / dried apricots

tuna pouch / apple

turkey jerky / pear

cold chicken / grapes

I like to reserve the meal replacement bars for times when I was

going to be out, and knew that there would be nothing there for me

to eat. My son is 4, and it seems like almost every Saturday, one

of his friends is having a b-day party. SO, instead of eating the

pizze, cake and soda, I would take a meal bar and a huge bottle of

water, and eat that instead. I felt like I was indulging a bit,

because the bars kind of taste like candy bars, but I was still

doing my body the favor of not eating the junk they serve at the

parties! :)
