Guest guest
Since you're struggling to see results, I would save the bars for emergencies. Whole food meals are better, even a protein shake would be better. Always have a bar in your purse and some in the cupboard in case you need something in a hurry, but choose whole foods whenever you can. Some easy bar replacers: cottage cheese / berries hard boiled eggs / orange string cheese / dried apricots tuna pouch / apple turkey jerky / pear cold chicken / grapes On 12/31/05, etanafinkler <etana.finkler01@...> wrote: > I have bought better proportioned protein bars: > Body for Life > Zone Perfect > MET-Rx > > Can I eat them as a snack meal more than twice a week if I want to? Guest guest
I like to reserve the meal replacement bars for times when I was going to be out, and knew that there would be nothing there for me to eat. My son is 4, and it seems like almost every Saturday, one of his friends is having a b-day party. SO, instead of eating the pizze, cake and soda, I would take a meal bar and a huge bottle of water, and eat that instead. I felt like I was indulging a bit, because the bars kind of taste like candy bars, but I was still doing my body the favor of not eating the junk they serve at the parties!
