Hi Everyone,

I think I'm coming down with something - feels like i

have an elephant sitting on my chest - ugh! Also,

have an eye dr. appt this afternoon - I hate going to

the eye dr. - I always leave with a huge headache! I

think I'd rather stay at work the whole day than leave

early for the doc.

Anyway, I managed to get my butt out of bed this

morning in spite of not feeling 100% and I did FIRM

Strength with Pam Cauthen. This one, like Firm Cardio

alternates upper and lower body weight training with

some cardio intervals thrown into the mix. Pam does

an excellent job of cueing and leading this one hour

workout! Pam looks excellent in this workout in

contrast to her emaciated look in the BSS3/4 series.

Anyway, this was an excellent FIRM workout - it had

been awhile since I did it so it was fun to pull it

out again. I know many of you don't love the FIRM,

but I actually prefer the FIRM to Cathe for weight

training - I know this is blasphemy - but I find

Cathe's weight training workouts to be kinda boring.

I guess I just don't enjoy " gym " style workouts all

that much. They have a place in my rotation when I'm

in the mood for them and Cathe does produce excellent

workouts, but I tend to like doing the FIRM better for

weight training b/c of its unpredictability of

sequencing - you don't just work biceps, then triceps,

etc. everything is sorta mixed together.

I ended my session today with a few of the stretches I

remember from the Yoga for Stress Relief DVD. I

really need to do the full session again, but I worked

on loosening my hips a bit with reclined cobbler's

pose and reclined lotus. I can really feel how tight

I am.

Hope everyone has a great day. Tomorrow is cardio -

I'm leaning towards doing a step workout since it has

been awhile. I may pull out Kari's Hot Steps (a Ross

virgin)

Take care,

Donna
