Guest guest Posted January 3, 2007 Report Share Posted January 3, 2007 Hi, My DOMS was sufficiently diminished to attempt this one today - I went with the original FitPrime Strong Bear with Tracie Long (as opposed to the remake with Keli ). I can't recall off-hand what is different about the two versions - I think it may be that Tracie uses ankle weights for some sections and Keli doesn't. The production of the re-make is better and I think there may be less un-eveness about it. But, overall this is a good strength training workout with Tracie and I'll hang on to it even though I have the same workout by another instructor (sentimnetal attachment, I guess, plus I really like Tracie!) This one is a fairly straightforward strength workout with some " twists " here and there - balancing on one leg for upper body work, slower paced tall box (leg presses) to really engage the glutes, etc. It is FIRM-ish with a somewhat " functional " twist. It is about 55 minutes long - a little short on ab work - but I've done enough this week so far. There is a definate focus on the inner thighs in this workout - which is good - often I find videos to over-work the outer thigh/hip area. I would have liked to add on some extra stretching, but guess who was up?! LOL! I *HOPE* to have the energy tonight to pop in my stress relief DVD so I can try out that darn practice for the lower back/SI joint. GRRR!! Hope everyone has a great day. Depending on DOMS tomorrow will either be Fast Cheetah with Tracie or a cardio/Pilates routine. I don't think I'm going to do Tough Tape this week - I think I got enough strength in with Strong Bear, Tortoise - not to mention Hare and Fast Cheetah which has a bit as well. Hope everyone has a good day. Thinking ahead to next week - I'm going to do the Cross-Trainers - FIRM Cardio & FIRM Strength with Heidi and Pam.
