Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been given some aged aguardente (similar to grappa) with 40 % alcohol. I decided to blend with my amber (created using Mandy Aftel tips - labdanum, benzoin, vanilla). Then I added rose, jasmine, violet leaf, bergamot. However, the alcohol is so strong that I could not smell the blend except the alcohol. " aguardente is distilled from vinho verde grapes, using a process similar to the French cognac. It is often aged in oak barrels previously used for port wine. " Has anyone used this aguardente with sucess. I am still waiting for my 190 proof alcohol. So I decided to give it a try with this aguardente. But I was a bit disappointed! Thanks, Angi
