Temp limit for heating pecans

I am fixing pecans as described in Sally's book--soaking overnight in

salt water and then drying in oven. But our oven's lowest setting is

170 degrees and the recipe says to use a max temp of 150 degrees. Is

170 OK or do I have to buy a food dehydrator to dry nuts in? I work

all day so I can't stay home to turn the oven off periodically to try

to get it below 170. The oven is very new and modern (bought a year

ago) so don't tell me to get a new oven :).
