Good question Vickie. It says on the bottle: No artificial colors,

artificial flavors, or preservatives. No yeast, starch, wheat, sodium,

or soy. Very low lactose:May be safe for lactose intolerant

individuals at the rate of (1) capule per hour.

This product is infact, lactoferrin a natural milk protein fraction

obtained from cows milk. So I'm thinking maybe not, it probably does

have some caesin in it, I'm not sure, this is a product I picked up at

a local health food store. But it really helped my son in many

ways.Could anyone else answer this, I know some children are using

Colostrum Gold from Kirkman. Is that product caesin free? Thanks Leah

P.S. Could the glutathione have a negative affect?

Hi Leah,

My son is using Colostrum from Kirkman. It is very good. No casein, no

lactose. You can try it. My son is making tremendous progress from using

Kirkman products.

Regards,

Debbie

I dug out my materials on Colostrum-Gold from Kirkman's - It says that it

has " been formulated for autistic children ... to be casein-free. " Anybody

from Kirkman Labs -- is it OK to give this product to GFCF autistic

children? Thanks

HI,

Thanks Vicky for your Colostrum -Gold Information. My son has been

GF/CF for almost 3 yrs. This has been difficult, but I must admit we

have cheated in the last year on occasion. We have had to be mentally

prepared for s reactions because we new we would see them.

Sometimes its just hard to tell him no. But since we have been

supplemeting him we have not seen such bad reactions. We have him

Milk thistle, Vit.C, some VitE, some zinc, coromega,Citramin II. and

now colostrum. Today I gave him a cupcake, and thought,oh no, waiting

for a horrible reaction, but guess what NONE!!! not sure whats going

on but I know its good. Is Colostrum-Gold a chewable? Leah

Hi Leah,

In the guideline book from Kirkman lab the recommended usage is 1/2 teaspoon

twice a day and given to the child 1/2 hour before meal time.

I usually give colostrum gold liquid to my son 1/2 hour before breakfast and

lunch time.

Cheers,

Debbie Sianturi

Hi,

How much Colostrum Gold is given a day? How long does an 8oz. bottle

last? Just wondering. Leah

Oh, I know it is. But the colostrum-promoting folks promote colostrum for

just the reason.

, since you seem to have researched the growth hormone milk with a

healthy bit of skepticism, do you have any opinion on the IGF-1 issue, or have

you not researched that?

I'm not sure how much liquid colostrum it takes to get 4g of the powdered

variety, but it may be worth noting that colostrum is extremely high in IGF-

I, since many people are concerned about the slightly elevated levels of

IGF-I in milk from cows treated with rBST.
