Guest guest
>> yogurt and kefir have the probiotics, but they are also high in carbs. high carbs are high carbs. if high carbs are feeding candida, whether or not it is high carbs in veges or yogurt or kefir (or milk), what is the difference? << There really are hardly any carbs in fermented dairy products. Here is an article that explains why: http://www.lowcarbluxury.com/yogurt.html Are you sure you have systemic candida? I have no idea about humans, but people are always saying their dogs have systemic yeast, but I have never found one that really did - typically, if you get them on a healthy, species-appropriate diet (which for dogs means animal protein and no grains!), and deal with any allergies/food sensitivities they have, typically all the supposed " yeast " symptoms clear right up. I certainly believe we (humans) can have overgrowths of candida, and that both the overgrowth and the die-off cause symptoms. I am just not convinced we need aggressive " detox " or anti-candida programs to deal with it, and in fact, the rapid die-off often seems to cause severe problems. Perhaps being less agressive, and simply cutting carbs, and focusing mostly on healthy fats, proteins, and low glycemic veggies and LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER might be enough? Gentler? Easier on you?
