Hello to everyone on the forum, this is Zamani.

I have finally found a great diet that is working well for me and

has allowed me to not only stabilize my weight, but given me great

energy and an overall sense of well being. My diet is probably 70

percent carbs and fat and 30 percent protein. One of my staples has

been Egg Yolks in which I consume about 12 per day at the least. The

rest of my diet is comprised of non starchy vegetables, salads etc...

My problem is that I wanted to add Bacon to my egg yolks,I love the

taste of this combination, but I have several concerns based on what

I have read over the net and also from several different

doctors, naturopaths and nutritionists. My concerns are....

1. Is Pork (Bacon)even in its Organic state, generally a non

nutritious food ....and is it really assimilatable by the body?

2. Is there a problem with the body being able to properly

assimilate two proteins (eggs and bacon) simulateously? I have heard

from food combining experts that it is not possible becasue of the

way our digestive juices function.

3. I have heard that Pork (even organic raised) has Cancer causing

properties.

4. Does anyone know of any veggie bacon products that are not only

tasty and nutritious but that do not include wheat gluten in the

ingredients, since I am allergic to gluten?

I want to be asured that while this diet I am following is pleasing

to my waistline and my mirror that I am not damaging my health and

vital organs in the process....

If anyone has any insight whatsoever with regards to this matter,

your input would be GREATLY appreciated...

Thanks in advance.......Zamani ( I want Bacon )....smile
