did have a bowel haemhorrage!

Hey All

Just wanted to let you know that there was blood in s stool sample which was very black and we went to the hospital with last weekend. So bowel haemhorrage too, to add to the growing list of things wrong!!

She is much better but really tired. My GP foned me first thing this morning and then trying to get a hold of a paediatrician has wiped me out! Ours is on hols and her secreatry was quite rude to me... Told me she wouldnt DREAM of contacting Dr C whilst she was on annual leave (eg a day off!!). After waiting 1.5 hours for her fone call, (well actually was speaking to Mandi on my mobile for most of that time) I was quite angry at the attitude. I droppped Cameron off at nursery and was fuming all the way home. When I got in I foned her back and told her it really wasnt my responsibility to be trying to track down a paed or gastro and that she would now find me one and get themto call me, also I was horrified by her attitude and I would be sending her a transcript of our conversation for when I go to the papers.... !! Yep, I would need to do this because I am so fed up of the negligence of Grampian Health Board, not being looked at, having to go to NY to see Krigsman, blah blah, was very calm throughout.... Needless to say another paediatrician foned within 5 minutes!!

They were deciding whether to admit her, but she had really good stools yesterday and we obviously dont want this since we are off to NY in 2 weeks! I was very worried that I might have goaded theminto doing something to cover their own backs but they are obviously not that clever! So we have to go staright there should there be any probs this weekend.

My GP is such a honey and said he completely agrees with meabout lack of bowel invetsigations for PEOPLE with autism never mind just kids! So fingers crossed all that we manage to get to New York to see Dr K without any more probs! Nightmare City or what!! Still we are on the right road now and 3 weeks today we will be all thru in NY and heading back home.

PS I am planning a plan of action, we need to get this looked at, more kids cant suffer like has, BOWEL INVESTIGATIONS FOR ALL WITH AUTISM!!
