Guest guest
Too bad volleyball didn't go as expected. Are you willing to teach people how to play vollyball? I know I wouldn't know how to play or all the positions etc. I hope you are able to get some more players, those four weeks will go by pretty quickly. When do you start up again? More time for home workouts! Kerry Sunday November 19, 2006 Exercise Tonight I bowling 1 hour in my bowling league...didn't bowl as well as I did Friday but still had decent games. Monday November 20, 2006 Exercise Tonight I played 90 minutes of co-ed volleyball. The level of play was really BAD! I was pretty disappointed but nothing I can do about it. I put an ad up on the Michigan volleyball site but only one good player came, one player was ok but was dangerous to play with as he would go after other people's ball. One other guy was ok but he made a lot of faults and had to unlearn his bad habits. The other guy had no clue how to play "real" volleyball. We need more players to come because we haven't had enough there to continue to play after 9:15 or 9:30pm. It isn't worth it for me to go unless we play until 10pm because I am all ready missing the first 1/2 hour because I come from work. I wish people would be honest with their level of play and when someone posts a message saying "you have to know how to bump, set, spike and block and must know positions on the court" and they don't know how to do that they would just stay home. Anyway, maybe it will get better...there are only 4 weeks left until next year. boo hoo, Jen
Guest guest
Yeah I'm willing to teach people but sometimes they're not willing to learn. The biggest problem is trying to teach them while playing at the same time..it's better to take them aside and teach them one on one. Tonight I played and there were more people there and most of them played better. Although the woman in charge didn't think there was much of a difference between this Monday and last Monday. But I had fun so that's most important thing. I got a good workout, I can tell because my knees are killing me! Jen Kerry Kramer <kerrykramer@...> wrote: Too bad volleyball didn't go as expected.
