It's taken five months of hard work to get him off the copious quantites of milk (8 to 9 bottles a day) and gluten. I transitioned him one to two grams of formula at a time because he wouldn't take it when the transition was more than that! This week I cut out the last 3 grams of infant formula per bottle and he's taking the CF formula. Finally this morning I cut out the fromage frais that has his medicine in it and he took his meds in fruit puree. We've been working on tolerance for the fruit puree for a while... He quit eating solids for a couple of weeks altogether when I cut out the gluten but he eventually conceeded defeat. Honestly, five months ago I thought this was a completely impossible task as I am one of the parents who could really say that gluten and caesin were all my child would eat.
