It is created by a new extraction technique. The company doing is isn't releasing info on how it is done as it is their proprietary process now, but it is actually NOP certified. It is really really different from other Jasmines - green and doesn't have as much honey scent. It would not be suitable to replace the average Jasmine note at all but I chose a lot of grassy notes to pair it with and that worked well. The CO2 extract we can't even use because it is actually CO2 extracted from the concrete and the concrete is made by hexane extraction. I was bummed when I found that out..... we use one of their jasmine CO2s in a candle blend as a minor ingredient but I don't use it for skincare since there could be hexane residue. *blessings
