Guest guest
Hi Jo, >Generally I wake up at 5.20. However, if I go to bed > an hour earlier, I wake up at 4.20. **One thing to consider is that many of us have body clocks that are off. > > hypochlorhydria > Hypochlorhydria is not enough hydrochloric acid (HCL). In most cases this is a result of excess carbohydrates (refined flours & sugars), nutrient deficiency (not being able to absorbed the nutrients from the food being eaten), allergies (which are many times the result of poor digestion), and excessive alcohol consumption. Even when one is cleaning up their diet there is still the issue of the cells in the intestines (where most of the food is absorbed) being mal-nourished, which can be aided by being supplied with good bacteria. The thing is with poor digestion most people don't have sufficient zinc. With deficiency in zinc, one can not produce enough HCL and the lack of HCL can very often be one of the reasons for food sensitivites or allergies (a note here - a true allergy is only to that of a protein). And just adding zinc as a supplement does not always do the trick. The body needs to be aided in being able to absorb zinc, a similar thing for an inability in absorbing calicum. Just taking a supplement or using dairy doesn't always work. There are co-factors involved in both. > > pancreatic insufficiency causes the maldigestion of > > carbohydrates, fats and proteins. > > What is pancreatic insufficiency? It means without HCL your body is not able to then produce pancreatic enzymes. And if one provides the enzymes with supplementation without addressing the lack of HCL then the body is not able to do the job it is meant to do and it becomes dependent on enzymes instead. So the rule of thumb is to work on healing the gut first, then getting the HCL up and/or then supporting with digestive pancreatic enzymes. Does that mean I'm > not producing enough insulin? > Would taking digestive enzymes help? ** I answered that above. >>it helps to be a detective, eliminating one thing at a time, rather > > than trying too many things at once. > > I eliminated last year, and that's when I picked up > dairy was my thing. **Even in NT, Sally talks about using the pulse to check for food sensitivites. See index - pulse, I forgot the page number. And that goes along with the book I previously suggested " The Pulse Test. " >The excess is all around my middle **You said you've read The Schwarbein Principle, she refers to that as being the classic sign of insulin resistance. It also indicates a dysfunction of the pituitary gland, the master gland for the endocrine system (all hormones). >depending in how bloated I am. **bloating is a strong indicator for the need of HCL. >I get bloated eating chillies, and > it takes about a week for my belly to shrink. > > I have also noticed problems with Kefir. **We need to remember no matter how great something is scientifically, if our bodies can not absord it, the nurtrients are just going down the toilet, money wasted. The pulse test would be great for this issue. Dairy may be a problem for you right now. Someone also talked about doing a muscle test to determine is a food was right for her at that time. Instead of kefir right now, maybe the cabbage drink would be better. Cabbage juice is extemely healing to the gut. What was suggested for me was to include bone broth in my diet, to cut back on the fermented veggies except for some sauerkraut, particularly beets because of their potency, and heal my gut that way. I also used some supplementation to aid my gut and did a parasite cleanse. >People on the kefir list are convinced kefir is cleansing and I > can't possibly have a problem with it. **Another thing that can occur is if we begin to detox or cleanse before the body is ready (meaning first and foremost all the pathways are clear - digestion being the main thing, along with kidneys, etc.), we can go into a healing crisis which can be quite hard of our bodies. That is in fact one of the expected results of detoxing, a healing crisis. I've seen this mentioned in regards to Herings Law of Cure. So for many the gentler, slower route is better when detoxing.
