With everything you have done I would suspect bacteria more than yeast - how are his poops? Sticky, smelly? Is he agressive? Rashes? Waking at night? Happy drunk or maudling intense? I have been in this situation and just chelated right through it - I was going to get yeast nayways so I thought I might as well carry on. Sam was never too bad, it affected us more - very draining, fingers crossed for you - you have seen the light the other night with interaction with his sibling at least Mandi x

Guest guest
My son has had a yeast infection since the start of Sept and we can't seem to shift it. He's been on: GSE + Yeast Aid twice a day for ~ 10 days- no affect Diflucan + flagyl (1 week) - cleared it up for ~ 3 days Lauicidin + oil of oregano twice a day (1 week) - no effect Diflucan + flagyl (1 week) -no affect Nystatin (4x1 ml daily for 2 weeks) - die off, 1 good day, but rash now back. Colloidal silver (5ml twice daily) + Nystatin (4x1ml daily) - for the past 3 days - no affect Through all this, I've been rotating GSE, Yeast Aid, Lauricidin alongside the other stuff to try and kill yeast. I've also been giving him Kirkman's Super Probio (75 billion cfu) once or twice a day separated from anti-fungals by 90 - 120 mins. He's getting no refined sugar or fruit, but probably eats a lot of rice (carbs). Anyone got any advice? I think the GSE and oregano don't work anymore, as he's been on them for months and they've done all they can. How often do people recommend dosing with colloidal silver, candex, etc. to get an affect? We've been keeping him off his chelation schedule while he's got this problem, but it's been dragging on for months now with no end in sight. My wife is now thinking that maybe we should chelate him with DMPS + EDTA suppositories now anyway. Is this adviseable while he's got the yeast problem? Help! Guest guest
Thanks for the advice Mandi. We did a blood and urine test in Sept and his ammonia was within std ref range, so I reckon it's yeast or bacteria. I don't want to give sacc boulardii while he's on nystatin as I reckon they'll just wipe each other out. He was on Sacc Boulardii though when the infection first set in and I will put him back on it in a few weeks. He's going to get another dose of Diflucan + flagyl next week which will hopefuly clear out and bacteria while treating the yeast. I might try Biokult, as it can't do any harm. > > > In a message dated 09/11/2006 11:37:18 GMT Standard Time, > oneill_liam@... writes: > > I've also been > giving him Kirkman's Super Probio (75 billion cfu) once or twice a > day separated from anti-fungals by 90 - 120 mins. > He's getting no refined sugar or fruit, but probably eats a lot of > rice (carbs). > > > > >>>When we first started out we did Kirkman Probio for 4 months and still > didn;t have any good flora on testing - zero, nada FWIW we switched to Prima > Defense and then replaced with Biokult when they first came out. Guest guest
Hi we had awful yeast/bacteria this summer and our dr advised stopping chelation until sorted ( we are doing DMPS supps).Charlie is always on nystatin - 3 x daily. We tried vanco - didn't work. So we did a microbial dysbiosis test from French lab ( like an Organic acid test but not so detailed). The results were awful. Our dr put Charlie on a 2 week course of sulfamethozazole and ketoconazole which worked. But we wouldn't have known what to do without test or dr and his behavior was bad - not getting dressed, walking etc. Basically not not not. Next time I think I'll do the test first and save months of hard work - cost 105 euro's. Guest guest
I think I'll try the OAT. Not getting mcuh success without it, so may as well pay for testing. > > > > My son has had a yeast infection since the start of Sept and we > > can't seem to shift it. > > He's been on: > > GSE + Yeast Aid twice a day for ~ 10 days- no affect > > Diflucan + flagyl (1 week) - cleared it up for ~ 3 days > > Lauicidin + oil of oregano twice a day (1 week) - no effect > > Diflucan + flagyl (1 week) -no affect > > Nystatin (4x1 ml daily for 2 weeks) - die off, 1 good day, but > rash > > now back. > > Colloidal silver (5ml twice daily) + Nystatin (4x1ml daily) - for > > the past 3 days - no affect > > > > Through all this, I've been rotating GSE, Yeast Aid, Lauricidin > > alongside the other stuff to try and kill yeast. Guest guest
Forgive me if this is a really stupid question: how do you know it's yeast and not something else? Margaret
Guest guest
I think it's yeast because he's had yeast before and the rash looks the same. Sort of a general redness but with localised red spots. Hard to describe. Plus, my family Doctor reckons it is thrush (i.e. yeast). And finally, I took him to a local hospital for some tests a few weeks back and they couldn't get OAT results coz the urine specimen was contaminated with whole yeast cells from his thrush infection. Having said that, there may be bacterial overgrowth there as well. And viral. I can't rule those out, but I can rule yeast in. P.S. I had a boss some years back that always apologised before asking " stupid questions " . They were always the best questions: they make you question all your arrogant assumptions. > > Forgive me if this is a really stupid question: how do you know it's > yeast and not something else? > Margaret >
