Guest guest
Nice workout good to hear you mixed things up a bit. I'm sure you'll feel it tomorrow! Kerry wrote: Hi, This morning I debated on whether I wanted to take the weekend off from exercise, but DH worked last night so he went to bed so I decided to go ahead and workout. I wanted to do an upper body, but I've done most of Cathe's upper body workouts so many times that I wanted to do something fresh and new. All my other non Cathe upper body workouts just aren't hard enough. I decided to go with Low Impact Circuit Upper Body Premix. I wanted to kind of make it my own workout so I changed it up a bit. This is what I did. I did each of these exercises twice Shoulders- lateral raises- 5 lbs (stayed stationary while they did light leg movements)2 sets overhead raises- 20 lb bar bell 2 sets external rotator conditioner- They used the band with both arms. I used a 5 lb dumb bell and did each arm at a time while laying on my side (just as Cathe does in S & H) 2 sets each arm Biceps- BB curls with band- 20 lb bar bell (no band) 2 sets Triceps- straddle push ups- I replaced these pushups with lying triceps extensions using 8 lbs 2 sets lying extensions- 20 lb bar bell 2 sets kickbacks- 5 lbs 2 sets Chest- positive push ups- I replaced these pushups with flys using 15 lbs 2 sets negative push ups & uneven push ups- I replaced these pushups with a single arm chest fly using a 15 lb dumb bell. 2 sets Back- lat pull down- They used a band, I used 1 20 lb dumb bell and done pull overs on the step. 2 sets scapular retractions- I just did 2 more sets of pull overs with the 20 lb dumb bell. double arm standing rows. I replaced the band with a 35 lb bar bell 2 sets I was really happy with this workout. I wasn't sure how it would work by doing 2 sets and replacing some of those exercises, but it worked out really well and I am still shaky. It was fun doing my own exercises in place of some of Cathes, it was a nice change. Now we'll see if I get sore. )) I'm DEFINIETLY resting tomorrow, I promise. Have a nice weekend. ~**~
Guest guest
Hi, This morning I did CTX Upper Body. I really like this workout, but on the DVD there isn't a warm up or cool down. I used about 3 minutes of the warm up from CTX Kickbox and did the cool down from that at the end too. We got more snow here this morning (4 inches) we didn't need this at all!!! I hope you all are having a nice weekend!!! *~**~*
