It's always encouraging to hear that someone has gotten good results from a workout system. With all the infomercial-type hype out there on so many workouts, it's hard to really winnow out what works and what's ineffective. Especially since one size does NOT fit all with exercise, even less so than it does with t-shirts! LOL > How are you liking the 's Bootcamp Elite? It's fun, not sure how effective it's going to be as far as seeing tangible results, yet. I'm going to withold opinion on that until I go through the full rotation suggested in the kit. The production values are good-- 's stuff always seems to be top notch productions-- and as usual the " crew " is inspiring in their level of fitness. 's awesome as always. In fact, sometimes I think her form's better than 's... 's -- if you like him, you'll like this. He blows a few cues and doesn't enunciate as well as he could, but eh-- he's motivating, genuine and inspiring to me, which makes up for a few glitches. And he's not perky. I can't handle perky. ( Austin, fer instance, makes me run screaming for the " off " button. *giggle*) The workouts are close-captioned, which is a nice touch, and the captioning's well done-- it follows precisely what's being said. The music's... there. It provides a rhythmic beat, and for me, that's pretty much all it does. Sitting here, I can't even really call any of it to mind. Not that I consider that a *minus,* mind you. If I want an intriguing musical experience, I'll buy a CD. In a workout, imho, it's better that the music track is unobtrusive and most definitely hookless-- nothing worse than a persistant earworm haunting me all day from dawn on! The " bands " with the weights in the handles seem to be effective, though in this first leg of the rotation, they're not really used enough to make a whole lot of difference. I can feel where the resistance really ups the amp on kicks, especially, though. My only complaint about them I've made before, about the length adjustment not holding, especially when the bands are laid down and then picked back up. It's very annoying to have to stop the DVD and fix the darn things every single time. If I could figure out how, I'd cut them to length permanently... still thinking that one over. This workout set's definitely on the intermediate level, and I think it'd be preferable to have some previous experience with Tae Bo before using it. has a short bonus feature explaining the moves, but there's next to no instruction in the workout itself, especially on form, and each combination is run through only once before it's done to speed. I still have trouble with some of them, but that's more due to my problem with coordination and such than a flaw of the workout. The nutritional information sheet is really basic-- if you're eating at all well, you know this stuff already. And of course, the " 6 day jumpstart " menu is your basic stripped-down low carb, high protein, 3 meal, two snacks routine that seems to come with every packaged workout. It'll make you drop a lot of water weight and maybe break the hold of " the white stuff " if you've not already cut processed flour and sugar out-- but it's too low calorie and low carb to be safely followed for more than a week. ly, I'd be leery of it for even a week-- why flirt with sending your metabolism into starvation mode? So far, I give this set a thumb's up, and I feel it was worth the 30 bucks I spent for it. If you like Tae Bo, I think you'll be happy with it. Thanks again for the T-Tapp advice!
