Guest guest
Hi !Hi/Lo (High/Low) is simply floor aerobics - front kicks, jacks (you can modify) squats, hamstring curls, knee lifts, mambos, v-steps, grapevines - many of the same moves that are in step but without the step. Hi/Lo can be just as complicated as step sometimes.I've only done this one once, but as I recall the choreography is easy to follow and is a natural step up from . It reads as a beginner workout, but it really isn't. I'd say it's more upper beginner/intermediate as the pace wasn't slow. I also adore Dozois who I believe teaches this one. I may just do this one tomorrow myself!Hope that helps!nancydewolf <nancydewolf@...> wrote: What's basic hi/lo? Sorry, I'm still a newbie I guess! :-) if you're needing something a bit more than .. Guest guest
I just previewed Debbie Rocker's walking tapes at www.collagevideo.com and they intensity is higher than 's with more lower body sculpting moves. I think I'll add those to my collection VennittaOn 1/8/07, Pink Pussycat <pinkpussycat@... > wrote: Try Prevention's Walk Your Way Slim! It has walking but also some basic hi/lo thrown in. I may do it soon myself! oh, sorry! i meant to add that WYWS is not walking at all. it is all floor aerobics. nancy, 'hi/lo' means a mixture of impact in a floor aerobics workout (high impact/low impact). this one is a mixture but since all 3 levels are shown, you can mix and match the moves to create the proper level of impact for yourself. the 'pick your level' phrase that michelle uses in this workout (and then later turned that idea into another, new, workout) is in reference to different levels shown by michelle and the background exercisers (one of the women from leslie's walk away the pounds is the beginner mod - and obviously this workout was made before WATP as this woman is much heavier in WYWS - michelle does intermed and a young chick does advanced) :*carolyn. Guest guest
I'm interested in hearing more about these - I'm intrigued, but I'm trying to stick to a budget (or at least restrained spending) this year! I have some , Kathy 's Matrix and the Maddy walking workout so I'm not sure if I *need* this one or not - although it is tempting... Guest guest
It sounds like it would be great! If she's the same nitwit from buns of steel though you're right, I might find her too annoying. Oh well, there's always eBay for those items (getting and getting rid of). Guest guest
I agree, WYWS should be called low impact aerobics. I haven't done it in awhile, but as I recall the marching/walking segments are used as transition more than being the meat of the workout. Guest guest
This is good information, thanks Vennitta. I looked at a clip at collage and it looks reasonable for even 3 left feet me. Decided it is not high on my list right now though (got so many others I want to try first). Thanks again! Re: if you're needing something a bit more than ..
