Guest guest
Dear e, The digestive enzymes did something alright, and despite it being uncomfortable (an smelly), whether it is good or bad could be up for debate. The enzymes could have triggered a toxic dump (no pun intended), or they could have been toxic themselves, or both. No matter what is the true situation, it would probably be best to cut back the amount taken to avoid such a severe reaction. My preference for obtaining enzymes leans toward a whole food approach, i.e. kefir, yogurt, fermented foods, apple cider vinegar, raw foods, etc. rather than supplements. Depending upon how the supplement is made it could act as an additional toxin that the body has to handle rather than helping digestion.
