Guest guest Posted January 18, 2007 Report Share Posted January 18, 2007 Hi Everyone, Before I pop Minna's 1 Minute Workout in the mail (I'm getting one of the new Tamilee's in exchange) i thought I'd look at it one last time. Part of me knows I'll regret this trade, but I haven't used the DVD in months. As I recall, I found it to have good variety, but the segments were not long enough to challenge me - sort of like my complaint with the Shape Toning workout and the Prevention Personal Tainer - good concepts and variety but longer sets - more reps - were needed (and I'm not good about pausing the DVD to get more reps in!) Anyway, for those looking for some good generic rotation ideas here are four that are on the DVD. cardio isn't included since there isn't any cardio on this DVD, but you can add it in either on the " rest " days or as a supplement to the strength days: Day 1 - Upper Body Day 2 - Core Day 3 - Lower Day 4 - Rest Day 5 - Total Body Day 6 - Core Day 7 - Rest (I would probably swap out one of the rest days for cardio and add cardio on to the upper, lower and core days..) Day 1 - Lower Day 2 - upper day 3 - core day 4 - rest Day 5 - total Day 6 - Rest Day 7 - core (again, I'd add a long cardio session in on the rest day and do shorter sessions on the lower, upper and core days) Day 1 - Total Day 2 - Rest Day 3 - Total Day 4 - Rest Day 5 - Total Day 6 - Rest Day 7 - Rest (I'd do cardio on 3 of the rest days) Day 1 - Upper Day 2 - Rest Day 3 - Lower Day 4 - Rest Day 5 - Core Day 6 - Rest Day 7 - Upper.... (I'd do cardio on two of the rest days and one some f the upper, lower, core days - it may be fun on the core days to do Pilates and a dance routine) Anyway, something to keep in mind! Off to pre-school, my coffee shop (office away from home) and post office! I've gotten some good trades this time around - so I'm happy with that - so far: Firm Core Cardio 1 (had traders remorse) One of the new Tamilee's - I think Hot Spot Cardio Intervals from Power 90 Masters Body Bar Below the Belt and some older Cathe VHS Not to mention all the recent virgins I have.... I'm not sure what my workout plans are for tomorrow. right now I'm thinking cardio/sculpt since I missed today which was supposed to be sculpt and tomorrow was supposed to be cardio. Right now my contenders are: Austin Bootcamp (virgin) Kathy Matrix (virgin) One of the new Shape Workouts (semi-virgin) Or an older straight circuit workout - right now I'm thinking of Keli's step it strong - actually come to think of it - I think I won't do that - the FIRM has had a lot of step/tall box work and I'd probably be better off doing something taht didn't involve step. So one of the three above it will likely be. It is amazing how " off " my day is if I don't workout first thing - I find I can't get anything done! Okay, time to go!
