Guest guest
I've found an easily available substitute for a ceramic neti pot -- I use the little bulb " syringes " that are sold (in baby gear sections everywhere) for clearing mucus from a baby's nose. The bulb is about the size of a plum, and there is a small conical tip -- no " syringe tube " to speak of. Just mix your solution in a cup or bowl, then suck up some into the baby bulb, squirt gently into your nostril and repeat until you run out of solution. When you finish, flush the bulb with some soapy water and rinse it out very well – you don't want any soap residue in there the next time you use it! I also add a touch of baking soda to the saline solution – it helps buffer it and reduces the salt sting.
