Guest guest
ok, i guess the list doesn't take forwards. here it is... ******************WESTON A. PRICE FOUNDATION*******************           REAL MILK ALERT            August 30, 2003 Organic Pastures Dairy just announced that the Department of Health Services (DHS) for the State of California approved a special label request for a product called “certified organic raw milk with colostrum,†bottled by the dairy. This pasture-based dairy produces certified Organic Raw Whole Milk, Organic Raw Lowfat Milk, Organic Raw Butter and Organic Raw Cream which are marketed to health food stores and gourmet stores in California. The new colostrums product looks and tastes just like regular raw milk. Colostrum is the first milk (actually a pre-milk) produced by the cow after giving birth and is a powerful immune system booster. The new-born calf still receives all the colostrum it needs in the beginning of its life; Organic Pastures Dairy only uses the colostrum from the mother cow that is not used by the calf. Unlike highly processed colostrums in pill or powder form, fresh raw colostrums is filled with transfer factors, five vital and life giving immunoglobulins, antibodies, lactoferrin bacteria, fatty acids, essential amino acids, vitamin sand the highly valued and sought after - human growth hormone (HGH). Special hormones in colostrums keep the essential elements in colostrums from being destroyed in the stomach so they can be absorbed in the intestine and utilized by the body. Fresh Colostrum is nature's way of transferring immune system strength, traits, and genetic information from one mammal to another. This raw super milk will not be subject to federal interstate transport restrictions because colostrum is prohibited in milk. This special milk can be sold anywhere regardless of local raw milk laws. Dairy inspectors have no legal authority over the production and sale of this milk product. It is not a dairy product and falls specifically outside of regulations. It is a nutritional supplement. The product is authorized under California DHS permit # G-13-70876 under a special proprietary arrangement and protocol negotiated by the dairy. The permit was granted to Organic Pastures Dairy after it demonstrated that pathogenic bacteria did not grow or reproduce well in organic colostrum. The dairy has to meet a rigorous testing protocol that assures complete quality control. Homeopathic doctors had been requesting raw colostrums from the dairy but it was not legal to collect raw colostrums until now. Organic Pastures Dairy can now fulfill requests for its product in states outside California, such as Nevada and New Mexico. The new Department of Health Services ruling opens the door to making raw milk again available for retail sales in all states. The dairy is located near Fresno and all products are produced on the farm's own small creamery under California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF), the largest organic certification and trade association in California, and state inspection.
