Hi Everyone,

I got up a little later than planned - so I didn't

have as much time as I would have liked this morning,

but I still got in a workout! I did Goudeau's

ABC Workout (Amazing Ball Choreography=ABC) Thanks to

for this one!!

This one is perfect for a day when you want a very low

impact workout (b/c you're bouncing on the ball quite

a bit this one is very easy on the joints feet,

ankles, knees, hips, etc.) that makes you feel like a

kid. It is really one of those that is " just plain

fun " as you're rolling around, bouncing and playing

with the big ball! I didn't find it to be very

difficult cardio-wise, I'd say about the only time I

even felt a moderate level of exertion was when we put

the combos together at the end and ran through them a

few times. I'm guessing that this was because: 1) it

probably isn't a very intense aerobic workout to begin

with; 2) I was just learning the moves so I wasn't as

proficient as I would be the second or third time

around; and 3) really breaks down each move so

that also slows down the pace.

That said, *is* a great instructor. I'd rate

him up with Kari in being able to get me to

do things I didn't think I could! I know that his

hi/lo and step workouts are complex, but I am almost

tempted to try them b/c of the way he teaches. In

watching the clips for ABC I wasn't sure I'd be able

to do it, but with his cueing and instruction I really

was able to get through it - maybe not as gracefully,

but that would come with time and practice.

The workout is taught take-it-from-the-top (TIFTT)

style. At the end you put the whole thing together for

a few rounds.

Oh, it also doesn't require too much in the way of

space. I was a bit nervous about that, but you really

just need enough side to side space for a shuffle and

enough front-to-back space to roll over your ball.

All in all I rate this one as a good one for a low

impact, lower intensity cardio day when you just want

to be a kid and have fun!

On a semi-related note, I'm feeling my core from

yesterday's ball workout with Charlene. Glutes are

finally feeling slightly better from WillPower &

Grace.

Tomorrow is a circuit day or cardio+sculpt day. I

want to add the ball in to my workout but the only

circuit I have that uses the ball is Chalene's workout

and I just did it last week. Rigth now I'm leaning

towards Voight's step circuit workout as it

includes her BLT workout (which is on the ball). I

may do that or maybe I'll do 30 min cario plus 30 min

of stability ball from Quick Fix. I also stumbled

across Body Design which is a Goudeau circuit

workout I haven't tried yet. It looks like a long

tough one! I'll see what energy I have tomorrow.

Last night when I should have been wrapping presents I

was on Collage's website. There are quite a few new

workouts that caught my eye. One is Goudeau's

" Dumb " training. Looks like a good circuit workout.

I also saw a new set by Voight that uses foam

rollers. The new Shape set also looks good - much

better than last year's release - each of the two

Shape workouts includes 3 30 minute workouts - so each

DVD is around 90 minutes, a good buy if the workouts

are good! The Kathy Matrix workouts look good,

especially the sculpting one. And, I like the clips

of Tamilee's TIght on Time. I know that Tamilee's

will probably be too easy for me, but I'm still

tempted. The Shapes have me interested, but I'm

afraid that they also may be too easy (the last set

was). I guess I'll keep my eyes out for some reviews,

and try to remember my promises to cut down on impulse

purchases - I'm sure many of these are going to show

up retail in January.

Anyway, hope everyone has a good day today. It is

back to the grindstone here!

Take care,

Donna
