Guest guest
Hi , I guess you, Ricki and I will have to stick together since we are the only single people on here...I feel so out numbered! I uploaded an excel file that has my beach body rotation. It doesn't include the advanced Power 90 Masters or Slim Series or Burn It Up from Slim in 6. Check it out and tell me what you think, no workout is repeated If I get bored I will do another one of my MANY virgin workouts. I spend most of my money on exercise videos/equipment, sign language cds/videos to improve my American Sign Language skills (for work or with Deaf friends,) and books, mostly health/fitness. Don't feel guilty , like you said you only have to answer to yourself and your kitty??? Jen Pink Pussycat <pinkpussycat@...> wrote: Ug! The virgin workout dilemma! On the one hand I'm obsessed with getting new workout videos, as each is a unique fitness experience and I want to nab them at Ross as I see them. I mean, what if it isn't there next week? Besides, I need this one to complete my collection of the series! It's also nice to have a plethora of workouts from which to choose. The variety is way better than what is available at most gyms, and I can usually find a workout to fit my specific, peculiar needs for that day.Going through the binders and organizing them is actually a lot of fun. There's a tactile joy in lifting the floppy disc-laden pages and looking at the artwork on the plastic circles. The downfall of all this for me is not even a $ issue, as I think money spent on health and fitness and good, organic whole foods is money well spent. I'm lucky that I'm single and don't have anyone to report to $ wise. (Jen, are you and I the only single people on this board??)However, sometimes I feel REALLY guilty that I have a lot of workouts I've never done. I am sometimes concerned that I will never get to them all. I also think that when you do the same workout say 8 times a month that you can perfect your ability at it, go up in weights and intensity, and maybe get better results. For example, I thought I would be doing more Jari Love workouts and I want to, but Duncan Wong, Budokon, Goudeau and Trainer's Edge also hold appeal! I admire the Beach Body diehards that actually DO the programs as instructed but dang it if I had to do only P90X for 3 months I'd go insane (especially because Tony bugs me, but I notice as I acquire P90 stuff that he's much more mellow in his older workouts than in P90X).Anyway, I am not trying to be hard on myself here or make a decision of any kind. I know myself well enough that I thrive on and crave variety - that's in part why I haven't been at the gym lately. I will say that those workouts are typically harder than most videos (but certainly not all) but they can be so..... predictable. Since Donna, Carolyn and I have all brought up the virgin workout topic today I thought I'd expand on it. As Kassia said, we're all Vidiots and that's fine by me!, who probably needs a workout video 12 step program
