Guest guest
HelenI'm here and been doing so so for a while. I recently had blood work up and won't know results for several weeks since I have insurance through the county health department. It's different having my aunt from Colorado living with us, but I've got to get used to these conditions. It's late so I'll attempt to go back to sleep for another 1.5 hours before having to run to BR.Hugs Love & Prayersette

Guest guest
I am feeling relatively good. A couple of weeks ago, my computer went fully down with the monitor going completely pixellated and the computer repeatedly rebooting because the primary video card had burned out due to the fan on that card stopping working this came after a number of months of the computer getting slower and slower and having weird error messages, it took two times of the technician coming out to completely repair this because he had been told by Circuit City (the people who provide the service for my three year extended warranty) that it was my mother board so he did a first temporary repair by removing that video card and connecting to my secondary video card just to find out that that video card does not drive my fully enabled Media Center such that I could not use my dual TV tuner to watch and/or record TV so he had to order a replacement primary video card and come back out and replace it. That would have had me fully up and running except that Circuit City had me reformat to check whether I had a software or a hardware problem (as you can see by what I described, it turned out to be a hardware problem making the reformat actually unnecessary). Luckily, I had everything backed up to my external hard drive so most everything is back to normal except that I am still sorting out my IncrediMail Style Box because when that backs up it backs up with each letter style in the Style Box folder that the creator of that letter style put it into such that I have to sort them back into the folders I want them in - the backup I restored from was about 3 months long so it is taking quite a bit of time to sort it back the way I want it. Another problem while my computer was needing repair was that there was a total of 3 days during 2 weeks that there were widespread power blackouts due to weather that the repair man and I had to schedule around because for some reason we could not check the repairs while there was no power. By the way, I live in Little Rock, Arkansas which was not in the path of the 123 mile path of the long path tornado that hit Gassville and a couple of other Arkansas towns. Guest guest
Not good on this end. Don't write in often, so most don't know me. But I'm still having a strange chest tightening (baby elephant sitting on my chest) feeling, hard to take a good breath, unfortunately all tests came back great, so I've been given an albuteral inhaler. Plus, 4 days ago started having severe Vertigo. Where I live we're in the middle of an ice storm so it's not easy to get out. I'm grounded according to my family, can't step a toe outside (I have a list as long as your arm, among them chronic severe back problems and all I need to do is fall!!). So I couldn't get to the doc, but they called in a med and my brother picked it up for me. It has helped, but I'm still not right. Will probably be going to the doc if it doesn't go away by the time the roads clear enough to get to the doc 20 miles away. This is the first time I've ever had this, and it is creepy. I'm getting tired of banging into walls, I'm probably bruised head to toe. On top of that, they think I have myathenia gravis.....my left eye lid is drooping, vision blurring, slurred speech, and swallowing problems. I swear, if it's not one thing it's another. I just wonder how many more illnesses they can throw at me that I've never heard of!!!Not sure how many checked in, my inbox has about 100 emails I haven't gone thru yet. But you're probably sorry you asked the question Helen!!!! lol.One day at a time, that's how I live.Take Care, Take Care, B. in ILLINOIS

Guest guest
Hi Helen, and All! I’ve been on this group since late 2000 but have been “quiet” for years now. I have kept up as much as possible and I am still around. For those of you who don’t know me my name is Jessi and I live in NC. Before my grandma passed away three years ago we ran a small-medium sized rescue farm. Most had to be re-placed after she passed but some are still with me. After a couple years of living in a townhome in the city with the family that took me in we finally found a farm and moved in eight months ago. All people and animals are once again in one place and for that I am *very* thankful as I lost a couple a special goats to poor care where they were being kept. I have what is called POTS. It is an autonomic dysfunction, everything the body should do automatically (breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, body temp. ect) my body doesn’t do well. I also have problems with my pancreas because of that and have spent a lot of time in the hospital over the past years. I spent all of Feb. last year in the hospital… I joke that if I had to spend a whole month there at least it was one of the shortest ;o)! I’ve been hospital free for a year tomorrow and hoping to keep that record going! I will try and be around more, I’ve missed you all! Guest guest
I suppose this is very long overdue. Life has just been a whirlwind the last year or two, and I think it may finally be settling down. Or winding up, but in a good way! For those who don't know, I'm the owner of this list, but have been behind the scenes for awhile. I made a very hard decision and divorced my husband. We had been together for 12 years, but it was a toxic relationship. I was trying to hold on because we can be great friends, but terrible in a romantic relationship. Since then I've found the man I'm sure I was meant to be with. I'm getting married to him April 26th in London, where I will be moving. He has two wonderful children, so I'm becoming an insta-mommy! I've been spending all of my free time there, while packing up things here. Email me if you want to see pics of me in my wedding dress! With so many new faces that wouldn't know me, I thought it'd be best this way. Health-wise things have been difficult, but as I'm starting to lose weight, things are getting a bit easier. Found out that I really do have some hormonal issues after all. They've told me for years that I couldn't have, but lo and behold...I do. So, that's my brief update. Hope all is well with everyone! I just am getting a bit better after a 2 week bout with the flu I guess, I suffer constant pain and am on Fentanyl patches and Lortabs so I post when I can. To refresh I have SLE,CHF,degenerative bone disease in back and feet,RA and I am sure I am forgetting a few. I had a stroke that was pretty massive 2 years ago but taught myself to talk and write again. I have a new litter of Chihuahua puppies(2 weeks old) so that brings some joy. It is so hard not to feel hopeless. Thanks for listening to my woes, Mare -- Roll Call!!! How about a roll call folks! Haven't heard from some of ya in a while, getting Momma Bear worried here!!! Guest guest
I am here still. So sorry that I haven't updated in a LONG time. I have been sick with major spasms attacks and severe pain since June. I am doing better now though.I am on a AWESOME muscle relaxer, baclonfen. And my doctor changed the dosage. I suggested it to him. I have been doing stretching and let me tell you, it has helped a lot. My legs aren't stiff in the mornigs anymore. I only do stretching twice a day for 10 minutes. I even make up my own stretching as well. I have lost 29lbs since June. I was on solo slim. (http://soloslim.com) for 2 months. It DOES WORK. BUT i you are like me, and is on TONS of medications, then DON'T TAKE IT. That's just my advise for ya. I had a BAD reaction to it. I had major spasms attacks, I fell a lot. Also, I was VERY VERY anxious, and restless. Once I was off, I was fine. Anyway, I am here. I'll try and post often. Hope everyone is good. take care, Check me out on: Myspace: http://myspace.com/ctr625 Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/profile.php?id=502509057 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Check out my kitty Otis on: Caster ~*~*~*~*~*~ "The only people you need in your life are the ones that need you in thiers" ~*~*~*~*~*~* "There comes a point in your life, when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore, and always will.
