Guest guest
in light of the current political discussion, it got me wondering about the political structure of WAP's groups, and other traditional societies. does anyone recall if he mentions the political structure of any of the communities he studied? most of them probably represent a political/community structure that goes back several hundreds or perhaps thousands of years, right? obviously the groups he studied are REALLY small compared to the US, as a nation, for example. so comparisons to modern political systems would seem pointless. nonetheless, i'd be interested to know how those groups were structured...who took care of the sick or the elderly (family, i'd imagine!), who made decisions for the community, how disputes were settled, etc. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc.
