Guest guest
Hmmmmmmm, as you may recall I cancelled the last panel meeting because I was poorly with colitis. Anyways I just had a letter from this morning saying they would contact me to reconvene and .............. At this panel you will be given the opportunity to:- 1. Give a twenty min presetnation (it was 45 min last time) on the treatment I am seeking for 2. Listen to a member of the panel who will give a twenty min presetnation os HIS FINDINGS RELATING TO THE EVDIENCE RELATING TO TEH TREATMENT you are seeking for . Hmmmmmmmmmm, that should be fun Mandi x

However, when I rang last week and said does one of the doctors want the books and videos so they can be researching they said no because they didn;t know who was going to be on the panel this time. I think they are lining up their big guns, though who they are I have no idea. I am not worried I know I know more about this than they do But good point you made I might ring the woman and ask the same question lol Mandi x

Guest guest
Certainly you should know who they are. You could offer them your papers as a courtesy. That would stop them saying no evidence because you could say " I'm surprised that given two weeks notice you were unable to find................ " etc. Who ever it is will probably be too busy to put in much effort -- just rely on his expertise. But if he has notice of what you intend to say you can expect him to discuss it ie not to just ignore it and recite received wisdom Sally Mum231ASD@... wrote: > > In a message dated 07/11/2006 13:13:17 GMT Standard Time, bobsallyeva@ > ntlworld. com writes: > > Surely it shouldn't be a member of the panel who gives evidence to > the > panel. and how can he give evidence on the evidence relating to the > treatment when he doesn't know what you are going to say. Guest guest
Actually that's quite cheering. That could be presented as "PCT seeking further info on..................expecting deluge of requests" Have you kept your local paper upto date? They should be able to say "Turned down request but demanding further info in face of expected deluge etc" something like that xx Sally Mum231ASD@... wrote: Dr Heard rang me this morning. They are wanting a face to face meeting with him, Consultant Paed and GP - offering to pay his travel expenses - well fat lot of good that is - he going to write and explain he has 12 month waiting list and he not prepared to cancel patients for this. I know my GP will refuse to go and likely Paed also. Apparently they want to be well infomred because this is unlikley to be the last request for such treatment. So they are using us to educate them to stop hassles in the future. Hmmmm The Heardster said my presentation was very good Mandi x No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Sounds good, Mandi. They're finding they're up against more than they'd bargained for. How true. Abbie
