Guest guest
Okay , I LOL'd about the Dixie Cup dispenser! I haven't seen a Dixie Cup since 1970 something! Do they still have the big four leaf clover design on the cups?? Have you thought of just reusing a regular glass on the bedside? Better for the environment, no need for double stick tape? , on behalf of Mother Earth
Guest guest
I knew someone was going to tease me about it!! I should have known who it would be too! I haven't noticed the four leaf clover, maybe it is more subtle now. Yeah, we've tried the drinking glasses but with 4 of us it gets to be cluttered, more to wash, the kids are not exactly neat, etc. We do recycle whatever we can though and my husband has a couple of compost piles... so we're not completely awful to Mother Earth! :-) (who might still be stuck in the 70s some days but doesn't always mind) Re: Wednesday workout - pushed thru tiredness & low motivation! Guest guest
Great advice ! Now I feel like getting up and doing some thing to get me moving, maybe a Namaste workout. Thanks, Kerry wrote: Yesterday was a super busy day so I took it as a rest day planning a really good work out today. Then, at about 4 in the morning (after going to bed around 11 Tuesday night) the dixie cup dispenser in our master bathroom crashed to the counter top jarring me and DH out of bed. Scared the heck out of us till we figured out what it was (I knew it was loose but hadn't thought about that happening, the double stick tape finally gave out). Then DH was tossing all over and finally got up and said he was going for a walk. I checked on him later and he was awake on the couch, his brain going a million miles an hour about some things he was dealing with so we ended up talking until 5. Then he got ready for work and I went back to bed but didn't fall asleep until about 6, then my alarm went off at 6:30. Ugh. I took it slow after the kids were on the bus and then decided to try and work out anyway. I decided to do the 2 mile walk from Sansone's Walk the Walk tape. That was absolutely what I needed. I usually do this with hand weights for extra intensity but today I didn't. I worked hard though and got into it more and more as the tape went on. It felt so great when I was done. It is getting easier to push myself to work out. If I push myself today then the next time I'm tempted not to do it, I've got some motivation from the last time I felt that way. I have to say even that 30 minute beginner workout really tired me out, given my lack of sleep so after my shower I parked my butt on the couch for a while, shopping exercise videos of course (I'm bidding on her 3 mile express workout on eBay). I'm doing better now so I'm going to do some laundry and get dinner ready for tonight (I have a long afternoon ahead of me and I won't have time or probably energy to prepare a meal later so I'm getting it ready to pop in the oven later now). Anyway, for anyone out there thinking, "I don't feel like working out today." Try just 15 minutes. Set a timer and workout just that long then see if you can do more and if you can't, at least you got off your butt and did 15 minutes worth of healthy movement for your body and your emotions too. I was feeling down and blah before I worked out and I feel amazingly better spirited now! Don't force yourself to do anything really difficult or strenuous just get up and move, hopefully you'll feel better too! Report it here too so the rest of us can cheer for you and then you'll feel even better!!!

Guest guest
Thanks Kerry, I hope it motivated you and especially others (more like me) who always say they're going to exercise and then find an excuse not to. I know they're on this list! Re: Wednesday workout - pushed thru tiredness & low motivation! Great advice ! Now I feel like getting up and doing some thing to get me moving, maybe a Namaste workout. Guest guest
Yup were here all right, unfortunately I didn't get to my workout yesterday, but I plan on doing one today! Yesterday was a rest day for me anyway, I was going to make it an active rest day, but oh well. Guest guest
Rest days, active or not, are good things. I hope it helped and that today is even better because of it! I'll look forward to reading about your workout later! Re: Wednesday workout - pushed thru tiredness & low motivation!
