Guest guest
Hi Tonya, I all ready posted my 2007 goals. I didn't do well in 2006 with meeting my goals. I only really did pretty well on one of them, unfortunately it wasn't the "lose weight goal." I just think I'm struggling with changing my lifestyle which is necessary for me to lose this weight and keep it off. I've been catching up on some rest from the busy semester I had in the Fall. I finally got my interpreting work schedule...get this I will be working from 4 to 11:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Since they will be my long days I am going to play volleyball on Tuesday mornings and do some other exercise (walking and exercise dvds) and Thursday I will tutor from 10 to 1 pm then exercise some more before going to work at 4pm.... I will also be interpreting on Monday nights from 5:45 to 8:25pm...I was hoping that I would be able to play volleybal that night but doesn't look like that will happen this winter. The other days I will be tutoring all day but that's not as tiring as interpreting is so I will be able to exercise more. This year I'm going to post my goals near my computer and also in my bedroom so that I will be reminded to stay on task. Jen Tonya - <mslightning@...> wrote: So someone had posted earlier that they were setting their goals for 2007, so I thought I'd post mine. But I also wanted to ask about who all made their goals for 2006. Did you achieve them all? Did you achieve some of them? Did you totally throw them all in the trash? Anyway, here are my goals for 2007: 1. Improve my Sit and Reach Flexibility Score by 5 inches. 2. Go from a size 8/10 pants to a size 6 pants. 3. Improve my daily food intake by meeting the food guide pyramid recommendations. 4. Squat 300 pounds for 12 reps. 5. Donate my time and talents to assist in the recovery of cancer patients. 6. Complete my book. 7. Bachelors in Athletic Training (This is actually a long term goal to be achieved in 2010.) Completed goals from 2006 1. ACE Personal Training Certification 2. FiTour Yoga Certification 3. FiTour Pilates Certification 4. FiTour and NESTA Aquatics Certifications 5. Lose 20 pounds of fat and build 20 pounds of muscle 6. Dental Makeover Goals not completed in 2006 1. Bachelors in Athletic Training (Although I did complete all the steps I could in 2006 toward achieving this goal.) 2. Become licensed as a teacher (I did complete the tasks for this goal for 2006, but have decided that it is not the career choice for me so I'm not renewing this goal in 2007.) 3. Publish my book (Yeah, this one totally got skipped!) 4. Start producing my exercise DVD's (This one was working until I moved to Union County and found I couldn't continue my tv show to have the footage for the DVD's. Now I'm thinking it will also go on the back burner and will be a goal I set for another year.) All in all, not a bad year for 2006, but I'm looking forward to an even better 2007! Guest guest
Wow, Jen, you have a crazier schedule then I do! (I'm going to school MWF from 9:30 to 12:30 and then working from 1:30 to 8, and working 12 to 8 TTH, and 8 to 2 Sat, plus finding time for 3 other online classes.) I am glad to see that you have a plan for getting it in. Good Luck and I know you will achieve your 2007 goals! Guest guest
Tonya, looks like both of our schedules are crazy! I just think I have to force myself to exercise at least for the first few months. I think that I gained a lot of weight over the last two years when I started working every night and not playing volleyball as much. I used to play 3 or 4 nights a week. Hopefully this semester I will be able to play 2 or 3 days a week... I would have also liked to sign up for a swim class at a local community college but I know that I won't have time to practice so that will have to wait until the Spring/Summer. I'm sure you will reach your 2007 goals! Keep postin' and take care of yourself, Jen Tonya - <mslightning@...> wrote: Wow, Jen, you have a crazier schedule then I do! Guest guest
Kerry, I cheat by teaching classes at the gym so I can get a workout in. hehe Tonya Re: 2007 Goals TO Tonya last yrs goals and this years goals Hi Tonya, I all ready posted my 2007 goals. Guest guest
That's great! How's teaching the other instructors going? Kerry Tonya wrote: Kerry, I cheat by teaching classes at the gym so I can get a workout in. hehe Tonya
Guest guest
It's okay. I have three of them trained well enough to take over some classes, so I gave them 2 each this week. So now I'm down to 6 classes I'm teaching and the 3 yoga classes I'm subbing for the week. Next week our yoga instructor will be back so I'll be down to 6 classes a week, except I'm subbing for one of the new instructors who has a school thing and will miss her two this week. Maybe once all the subbing is over I'll be able to get in some extra workouts at home. I had a plan put together for what I wanted to do during the week that included some weight training and videos at home, but all the subbing has sidetracked that. I can't teach that many classes a week and still get a home workout in without risking overtraining. I do plan on doing something here at home tomorrow though, cause the gym is closed on Sundays. I might be addicted to exercise. LOL Tonya Re: 2007 Goals TO Tonya last yrs goals and this years goals That's great! How's teaching the other instructors going? Guest guest
Subbing as well as teaching your 6 classes is quite a bit. Glad to hear you are careful not to overtrain. Exercise is a good thing to be addicted to! Hope your schedule eases up so you can do your home workouts that you had planned. Take care, Kerry Tonya wrote: It's okay.
