Guest guest
Hi all, I need some advice. We have been chelating since June, using 8 hourly protocol, oral dmsa, 300mg dose, 3 days on and 3 days off. My son is 5 1/2 ston in weight, 12 years old yesterday. Everything appeared fine and we were seeing some really nice gains and great behaviours until Monday last week, the day after a chelation weekend. Since then he has been unbelievably stimmy, really old stims have reappeared along with tense, stressful behaviour. He isn't coping well with any changes. He is becoming stressed at the slightest thing and tantrumming, pinching, grabbing (all things we left behind some time ago). Oh, and he even put soil in his mouth in the middle of a tantrum. (I haven't seen him do this for years)! He looks totally spaced out with an awful frown on his face, which for us usually spells trouble. He has also been wanting pressure on his arms and joints which are all things that we used to see. I am giving him custom probiotics, nystatin, advanced biocidin for yeast/ bacteria. He has been on all of these for some time. This weekend we are due to do another round of chelation. I am concerned that he is already stressed and not quite sure what to give, change, do to help him get through this. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Trying not to get disheartened as I am sure we can sort him out. Jane
