Guest guest
, I have always had vivid, elaborate, and wild nightmares/dreams. Interesting if this common among CMT people. I have kept a journal just for dreams/nightmares for years and have used some in my artwork. My nightmares as a kid I think were connected to my childhood CMT and how I processed things (or didn't) - like surgery, doctor visits, doctors, needles, wierd things at the hospital, etc. I think now that my nightmares and dreams are still related, only my CMT is manageable, only just have spent 5 months with a ruptured disc no 2 Drs. can agree on the 'treatment' - so last night of all things, dreamt of a big earthquake! I studied some dreamwork at a school in Europe for awhile and learned alot about symbols and how to confront them, etc. I wonder how many of us experience such nightmares and dreams? Guest guest
I don't have elaborate dreams. But, in my dreams I can walk well, and there are no wheelchairs. Guest guest
Lamar here, About 10% of the worlds population are having dreams of earthquakes, floods, and land changes. many of these dreams seem to be almost precognitive as they are virtually alike all over the world. they are amazingly like things predicted thousands of years ago by the Aztec and other groups. Carl Jung explained them as coming from the " collective unconscious mind " a biological or chemical memory passed down by generations. Dream experts, do say that nightmares and repetitive dreams are important. Our subconscious is trying to alert us to something. They are often allegorical, and we have to look into the real meaning. I do sincerely doubt these dreams relate to CMT, but I would glad to discuss them privately with any of you. BTW, dreams are often used in psychotherapy. A dream of yourself having your current physical limitations shows an acceptance. If you only see yourself as running and " normal " in your dreams most therapists agree something in your sub conscious mind is not accepting your " handicap " . ----- Original Message ----- From: jacee17@... egroups Sent: Thursday, July 13, 2000 1:55 AM Subject: Re: [] nightmares/dreams In a message dated 7/12/2000 4:40:26 PM Pacific Daylight Time, liliwigg@... writes: << dreamt of a big earthquake!
