Sorry Guys, but I am in agony! What actually is Tennis Elbow, think I have it and what can I do about it. Spoke to GP the other day when he was on about Becky, he reckons ibuprofen, which I am doing, naybody got any other suggestions?

Hi Caroline,

I get that a lot, along with housemaids knee. Probably all the typing on the 'puter?! It is bursitis; my GP told me to massage the area where it hurts (ouch). I've tried MSM tablets, MSM cream, Glucosamine; nothing so far has helped, and the next step is a steroid injection, then if that doesn't help, a gold injection. Resting it is the best bet, although, it is the most impossible to actually achieve.

Good luck,

Hi Caroline. Why have you got tennis elbow weeks before Wimbledon? What has caused it? painkillers won't make it better, unless your body heals itself while on the painkillers. Hi Caroline,

My daughter had the same condition recently, we thought originating

from overuse of her violin and/or computer. She'd had pain on and off

for ages and we didn't realise that was the cause. So you could say

her tennis elbow was chronic.

The osteopath worked on her with some vigorous deep muscle seperating

treatment, which to an onlooker (me) looked excrutiatingly painful but

my daughter insisted it was just uncomfortable and actually quite a

relief.

The problem resolved almost immediated, with her arms being stiff for

about 2 days after the treatment.

So my advice - find yourself an osteopath ASAP! Good luck.

I had frozen shoulder for 7 months which was pure living hell. I tried everything in the book. Homeopathy finally helped and within 7 days..

P.S. Accupuncture also helped a lot. Anti-inflammatories didn't even touch it....

-Hello Caroline,

Recently my GP labelled my severe pain on my elbow as Tennis elbow and

he suggested ibufren.I started getting glucosamine, chondroitin, omega

3.. right away.Because this combination helped my joint pains in the

past.I think it works for me..pain is getting better..

I hope you will feel better soon.
