And when I do go out, by the time I get home, I'm worn out. My breathing is affected by this heat too. My chest feels heavy, if I breath in hot air, like when the windows are down in the van and it blows on my face, I loose my breath. Has this happened to any of you? I have no energy and I am just dragging all of the time;it feels like my legs weigh a ton each. So is this normal for us CMT sufferers? Its horrible to have to go through this but : What a relief as I thought something else was going wrong w/me ! Jeannine
Guest guest
Hi everyone I appreciate that the hot weather does cause problems with CMT but here in the UK it feels as if we're beginning a new ice age. The temperature is 10 degrees lower than the average and people are wearing their winter clothing. So, please forgive me if I envy you guys just a little but its so damn cold here I'm running the risk of frost bite. And on good days and bad days. My husband, when anyone asks how am I says she has bad days and worst days but that doesn't matter. A good day is when someone special (and we're all special) tells me they love me, so if no one has said that to you today I'm saying it - now you will all have a good day. Guest guest
No I don't but you see I'm 5ft tall and my husband is 6ft 4 " so I rely on him to warm the bed up and a cuddle I find is the best way to keep warm. Guest guest
Thanks, . I suppose I am fortunate in that I have sweet wife. She forgives most of my idiocyncrities. After all, aside from the CMT, I am a musician, a writer and a sometime artist. But I also have my furry friends should sour moments arise (3 dogs, 2 cats, a ferret & a horse). I also have three youngish kids. She spends more time worrying about how much clothing they are wrapped in. I do like that name Ella, reminds me of a book I recently read. I live " up " in Humboldt County amongst the mountains in a little town (of less than 300) called Blocksburg. Stay warm. Or cool, as the case may be... Fatigue and pain slow us down a lot. Has your son been tested for diabetes? That can cause weight loss. I'm sure there are many other possibilities too, but I doubt it would be CMT related. I'm not a medical person. Kat
Guest guest
Hi JR. I haven't heard about any rapid weight loss in connection with CMT. I struggle with the opposite.
