(i swear that if i had to listen to leslie sansone babble this morning, i would have barfed on her)first i did 'cardio classic' from gilad's quick fit system (QFS). 36 mins of very basic floor aerobics, which gilad pumps up by including hops and jumps and big arm movements. i started out really rusty and even though this has to be one of the easiest workouts on the planet, i still had to modify the whole workout! frankly it was a bit embarrassing... i did not do any hopping or jumping and while i agreed to move my arms, the movements were not that big, certainly not over my head very much. my heart rate was a mere 60%-65% of max throughout this workout...lolol... so that tells you how easy i was taking it.after that i put in his 'shoulders and arms' workout, which is also from his QFS. it is, oh, 15 mins long and concentrates on the shoulders, biceps and triceps. i knew that i had to take it really light, ive lost so much muscle/tone!! so i used 1.5 lb and 3lb dumbells! wow, i had flashbacks of the days when i was first starting out with dumbells 5 years ago. gilad uses 8lb and 10 lbs and im fairly certain that i was matching his weights the last time i used his QFS workouts. but, that is ok... i actually got a bit of a burn going throughout this workout. and i must say that the eye candy in this workout is delicious. gilad and the two guys behind him are pretty yummy. there is alot of women in the group too, and at times there are flashes of them doing the workout in bikinis, but i just ignore them...heh heh. the guys get shown alot because they are right behind gilad.finally i broke open my new 'yoga now' set and did the 10 minute AM practice. mariel hemingway demonstrates and also instructs via a voice-over. no rodney yee to be found in this one. i thought that mariel looked great and cued the workout very well, and i normally dislike voice-overs. the session has a few different things in it... arms swings and hops... but i actually found those parts to be fun. the yoga, itself, was basic and kind of flowing, progressing from sitting to standing poses at the end. i rather enjoyed it, it was short and sweet.total workout time 67 mins, 260 cals burned.this afternoon i went out to do the banking and grocery shopping. i had no trouble getting that done... carried in all of the groceries, etc. i was worried about feeling tired, but actually i didnt feel too bad. the workout this morning must have energized me a bit :)tomorrow's plan is similar -- light cardio, light weighted lower body, yoga.:*carolyn. __________________________________________________
