XKO (Xtreme Knockout) with Larry Lam

When I got home from work last night I crashed and slept all the way through til morning! I woke up energized after 10 hours of sleep and decided to do some cardio to burn off my favorite toffee that arrived from our Denver office yesterday - Endstroms (like Almond Roca, but 100x better and it's in slabs) that has so much butter in it that this candy is perishable and needs to be refrigerated! I would say the difficulty of this workout lies somewhere in between the Kick Butt one that Kerry and I did recently and the 20 minute Turbo Jam workout. Larry cues well, but he doesn't mirror his cueing which as you all know drives me nuts! Larry leads you through a warmup, a basic workout, and an "advanced" workout that is still pretty basic in my opinion. Before the cooldown came on I plugged in the Lower Body Burn tape that came with the set. This was good; you practiced front, side, and

roundhouse kicks very slowly while holding on to the back of a chair. I can certainly feel this part of the workout! Then I put the other tape back in to see the cooldown (I confess I didn't do it and it was short). The two tapes combined took about an hour. The music was put out by Power Music, and the same 3 or 4 songs cycled through over and over, one of which was the finale for Turbo Kick's R28 Finale! The setting was on a live stage, and Larry leads a whole class of professionally attired workout people. Overall I liked this one, but it was a bit too easy for me (except for the lower body burn, that did burn!) I would very much like to see a more advanced workout put out by him. He's a good instructor, and his kicks are very high and impressive. Another strong point of his is that he cues form very well before the workout and during the workout.

Really these workouts would sell like hotcakes if they were harder and if he mirrored his cueing. Other than that it was really quite good!

I know who Larry Lam is, but I didn't know he made any workout videos.

I'll have to check this out! Thanks!
