Guest guest
Where is he in NJ Kassia? Maybe I can't hunt him down and give him a swift kick in the pants! :-) I am sorry he is acting like such an ass. Have you tried calling him reminding him of his promise to call Viola? Kathy Finally A Workout/OT venting about DH good sunday morning all, feeling better but really fuming that DH thinks his trip to jersey is all fun and goodtimes, with no phone calls. whatever he got me for xmas can be donated to some charity b/c i don't want it, b/c right now whatever he got me, i feel it was just a way to warm me up to not being mad at him. well wrong!!!! but anyway i was ready to workout. i still have a bit of a runny nose and aslight cough(that post nasal drip thing that tickles the throat), but i made it. i did the 3 cardio segment of 10 minute solution fat blasting dance mix. upbeat and fun, no dread factor and i knew that if after 10 minutes i could stop but nah who wanted to do that. i worked up a sweat and got it done. maybe if i am feeling frisky later i will try a segment or two from quick fix. i was thinking of taking some of dh's movies out of spite, selling them to go to TJ Maxx and see if they still had those jari love packs that a VFer posted about them having. at least have slim and lean or something :-). and when i was at burlington coat factory(first time in 9 years that i lived here, i been there) looking for a gift for DH(well maybe another big guy will like the cargo pants )i saw a bunch of fitness stuff. i don't know if they have this stuff normally, or if its jsut a holiday thing. but they had all sorts of weight balls(4-8 pounds but i already have a 5 and 8)a few quick fix videos for $8 but i have the hip hop, kickboxing ones, and i wasn't really interested in the one with minna lessig(it only had 3 workous it wasn't that total mix one) but they did have pilates abs which i believe is led by keli roberts. i just might be tempted. i know i sound a little vindictive but we had this discussion before that he owes his daughter a phone call to say goodnight b/c she cannot(and believe i have only had 8 hours sleep in the past 2 nights)get to sleep without hearing daddy's voice.so i figure if he can do that to his daughter then he doesn't deserve all those nice movies he has. but mommy certainly does :-) and i am sure somebody will like whatever he got me LOL. aiming for yoga later b/c obviously i need it to calm down a bit but i am a bit hurt and angry for viola's sake. if i hear one thing about him with his friends i might go off the ball, b/c those ppl havent called in over a year. not even a xmas card after i always send them one at xmas time. nothing, nadda, zilch. but viola, always there, always amazing, and he let her down again. he is a good man but when he gets around those scumbags(harsh i know but right now don't care) he act like a child. well before i start crying, which i don't want to do infront of viola, i better get going. i hope all you have a great sunday kassia Have a burning question? Guest guest
Kassia, My bf has recently been going on a lot of business trips – often to countries where the time zone is different and it is near impossible for him to call at bedtime (he is usually in a very important meeting o on a plane at bedtime our time). Not your dh’s excuse but maybe our solution will help. I have him call at a convenient time and talk to the kids for a few minutes each. Then at bedtime I play a story he has read and taped so they know he loves them and is thinking of them. They usually only see him on the weekend because unless I am witchy he doesn’t get up in the morning before they go to school and he gets home after they go to bed. So this helps when they want daddy too. When Sylvia was younger he was home more and if he left for a night she wouldn’t sleep at all no matter what – it drove me crazy. My bf calls me regularly when he is gone because he is afraid that something will happen when he is gone. Probably most afraid that I will have a nervous breakdown or that the kids will be extra naughty. And he knows I worry. Obviously talking about it with your dh doesn’t work, but maybe a taped story will or maybe if you say you worry about him he will call you. I’d be pissed too if I didn’t get any sleep. My bf is gone right now too and I have the worst cold. He is supposed to call me at 11pm tonight (when he gets into his hotel in Miami), I think I will go to bed early and wake up when he calls. I know all the traveling is hard but I’d like to get away for a few days and stay at 5 star hotel and have fancy dinners (with no kids) just once lol. I’d even settle for one night without having to cook dinner and put kids to bed and do chores etc etc etc. From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Kassia Sent: Sunday, December 10, 2006 4:39 PM ; Firmies4Life Subject: Finally A Workout/OT venting about DH good sunday morning all, feeling better but really fuming that DH thinks his trip to jersey is all fun and goodtimes, with no phone calls. whatever he got me for xmas can be donated to some charity b/c i don't want it, b/c right now whatever he got me, i feel it was just a way to warm me up to not being mad at him. well wrong!!!! but anyway i was ready to workout. i still have a bit of a runny nose and aslight cough(that post nasal drip thing that tickles the throat), but i made it. -- No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
i know his dad lives in seaside and the resturant is in lakewood. i THINK his "buddy" lives in lakewood too but no idea where. the last time i called his dad, i couldn't talk to him, which to me sounds fishy. his dad claims he was there but b/c his dad has no house phone he uses his cell phone for all business. i just sniped at his dad, if he wants to be an ass, then be an ass, but don't be one to your kid. i was fine without him before we met, and i will be fine afterwards but viola has only ONE dad. the whole family is fishy and strange, can't trust any of them as far as you can throw them. my sister lives in tuckerton and knows where to track him down. she keep calling LOL, she loves him as a person but like i said when he gets in NJ he becomes a stupid kid again. gggrrrr!!!! kassiakvetro60 <kvetro60@...> wrote: Where is he in NJ Kassia? Guest guest
well i can see if he really COULDN"T call at a certain time but i got NO phone calls other then a 30 second "hey i am here" call and that was it. i just told his dad, if your son didn't want the responsiblity to be commited to a promise then he shouldn't have had a family. all i ever asked was for ONE phone call so viola knows he is fine. whatever else he has gotten himself into we will talk about when he is home. but a phone calls lets one know "hey i am fine just thinking of YOU". something he hasn't been doing as of late. kassia Sprague <kittyn@...> wrote: Kassia, My bf has recently been going on a lot of business trips – often to countries where the time zone is different and it is near impossible for him to call at bedtime (he is usually in a very important meeting o on a plane at bedtime our time). Guest guest
LOL maybe it were diamonds or something LOL. i called his dad, b/c that is who is supposedly with but i couldn't talk to him.sounds to fishy to me. he likes to get me stuff when i mad b/c its suppose to make it alright but things like this i just cannot except. this is not the first time he pulled this and he had a million and one excuses then and i am sure it will be more of the same. in fact i am willing to bet he will ask if i want to open one of them when he gets home just so i won't be mad. well i am purosely putting off another laundry mat trip today so when he thinks he is crawling in that bed when he gets home i will rip the sheets and comforters and look him to say " oh sorry I have to wash these" LOL. Guest guest
HUGS I hope you get a phone call soon. It sounds like he is just being an idiot. Being the witch I am I would probably start crying on the 30 second call and say something to make him think things were going horrible and I really needed him here. In my case that would result in a phone call later to make sure I was ok and the kids were fine. Not that I’ve done that yet, but it would work. It seems to be the time of year for men to act like jerks, I just talked yesterday to a friend whose husband seems to live in jerkville now too. J When mine enters jerkville I put in a kickboxing workout and kick and punch until I feel better – sometimes it takes two workouts lol. I get presents too when he acts like a jerk, I forgive him because he is a wonderful father and I know I’m not easy to live with either. I know most men would have left if they had to deal with all the difficulties we as a family have had over the last few years and he is there for me when I really need him. I try when I’m pissed to step back and think of all the times he has been sweet and loving and when he breaks a promise (his broken promises are usually things from his honey do list or trips he promises to take the kids on so I can get things done or spend some time resting) I try (very hard and it usually only works when I’m done kickboxing and taking a long bath) to think of how great he can be. Anyway I hoe he starts actin like a responsible father and gives you a call so you can get some rest From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Kassia Sent: Sunday, December 10, 2006 8:06 PM Subject: RE: Finally A Workout/OT venting about DH well i can see if he really COULDN " T call at a certain time but i got NO phone calls other then a 30 second " hey i am here " call and that was it. i just told his dad, if your son didn't want the responsiblity to be commited to a promise then he shouldn't have had a family. all i ever asked was for ONE phone call so viola knows he is fine. whatever else he has gotten himself into we will talk about when he is home. but a phone calls lets one know " hey i am fine just thinking of YOU " . something he hasn't been doing as of late. kassia -- No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Well at least he finally called. That's great that you put together Viola's desk. My DH gets mad when I press on without him when he doesn't move fast enough. I always tell, then move faster instead of telling me you will do it tomorrow.
