Guest guest
Hey Janita, Thanks for finding those links! The French are famously secretive about this technique(kind of like the 17th century Murano glass makers who were not allowed to leave the island with their precious knowledge). The pictures you found are intriguing but they don't demonstrate how you wrap that cord with no ends left showing. That's the trick. I think you would just have to sit down and try it, over and over, until you figured it out. Not tops on my list of must-dos but up there because it's such an elegant presentation. Whoever figures it out first should put a how-to in our files. (I personally would elimiate the bull's intestines for its sheer yuckiness and just go with the wrap.) Regardless of the prestige attached to this skill, it's not rocket science. We WILL get it and thus be able to transform our lowly stock bottles into sophisticated and opulent gems. Cheers, Tyler
