Sounds like you had a great workout Kerry!! Way to go!!

Sunday's Yoga Power

Today I did Voight's Yoga Power, and Yoga Stretch. This was a challenging workout starting out with child's pose going into cat pose, then downward facing dogs. From down dogs you went into planks, lowering down into up dogs with the knees straight or bent, I did the bent kneed version. There were also one legged Downward facing dogs, that turned into warrior poses, then triangle. I'm finding that I'm getting more comfortable with down dogs, I can hold them a bit longer, and I can get my chest a little closer to my knees, and I feel like my back is straighter than it used to be. The stretch portion was a challenge too, got in a good hamstring stretch and a great quad stretch. I feel so much more awake, I was fighting sleep before I did this workout, and wasn't going to workout; I was going to have a nap on the couch; now I'm glad I didn't. It only took a few minutes into the workout for me to feel awake. Next time I'm really tired like that and I need to wake up I'm going to do yoga! It's wonderful. 's cueing was excellent as usual. DH was in another room and he commented that it was too bad the workout was over because the music was so soothing. The stretch section had some soothing vocals, I can't quite remember what was on the strength section, although it couldn't have been anything really bad, or I would have remembered.Have a great day everyone.Kerry
